Nice doc
5 stars for doc. 1 star for scheduler. He was very nice. He did an actual knee exam in an era where many physicians rely on diagnostic imaging only and are no longer hands-on. When I was on the fence about knee replacement he pointed out the severe instability of my knee so I am going for it. As I was leaving he asked the scheduler if she would schedule my surgery then and there and she said she would call me the next morning. When I did not here from her, I called her 3 days later on a Monday, she returned my call Tuesday to tell me she would not have time to schedule me until Friday. She did call to schedule me on Friday. I thought this was an unnecessary delay of one and a half weeks and very weird. Having any surgery causes great anxiety and any delays only make this worse. I am scheduled for surgery in 8 weeks which I understand is about 2-3 months sooner then it would be with Optimotion who are scheduling 4-5 months out. Wow.

Dr. Messieh The. Best. Full Knee Replacement
Dr. Messieh is thorough. There was no rush to get me sliced and diced. He left it up to me to decide it was time for full knee replacement. After cortisone and gel shot I decided to go for it. He and his staff are considerate if your questions. Everything was explained. He sees patients locally but surgery is done at his Orlando medical facility where the team understands Dr. Messieh’s protocols. I am thankful for their expertise and kindness.

Does not rush in to surgery
Dr. Messieh is not in a hurry to recommend surgery. He is thoughtful, spends the required time with you and tries to find ways to ease pain without rushing in to surgery. He has kept my knee functioning for over two years with minimal pain despite the fact that it is now bone on bone. I now need surgery and trust Dr. M., having had the opportunity to get to know him over the last two years.

My First Appointment
I had my first appointment with Dr. Michael Messieth recently...I felt very comfortable with Doctor. You never know what to expect with a first time appointment. I had been experiencing soreness in my knee and tightness in my left thigh...it was affecting my gait and mobility. The xrays Cassie did were, thankfully, extensive. Doctor showed me that I had some arthritis, not only, in the knee, but also, in my hip...which was causing some of my discomfort. I was so glad to hear that knee or hip replacement were not options, both were in good shape. We opted for cortisone injections in my knee and hip. Most likely, I'll need more in the future, but I will keep Doctor apprised and we will react acccordingly. After some discussion with Doctor Messieth. I thanked Doctor and look forward to taking care of my well being with Doctor Messieth's help...Thank you

Not recommended for Hip Replacement
Do not recommend for hip surgery. Surgery third week of July 2022 still have pain fourth week of October 2022 (3 months). Dr. Messiah was not prepared, it took three tries with different size stints. None of the stints were the correct size so he went with the closest and used a wire to stabilize. During the process he cracked the femur and blamed it on brittle bones. DEXA Scan latter shows bones to be normal. Final follow-up appointment Dr. Messiah did not have any thoughts as to possible cause of ongoing pain just suggest go back on the walker.

Excellent Doctor -Caring and hollistic
2013, I broke my left wrist, I was referred to Dr. Messieh. He xrayed my wrist. I had a perfect break. I have very delicate wrist instead of surgery he put my in a tight cast, and it healed like it never happened. He made me feel very calm, and at ease. I liked that he cared enough to save me from surgery, He is an amazing doctor, and I would refer anyone to him. He cares about his patients, he is kind, considerate and has a hollistic approach. Thankful for him!! Jennifer

On May 10, 2021 I had my 4th surgery by Dr. Michael Messieh. I met Dr. Messieh at a seminar at the Waterfront Inn in The Villages back in October 2010. Dr. Messieh did my 1st surgery, my left knee 2/11, my 2nd surgery, my left hip 2/12, my 3rd surgery, my right knee 2/16 and my last surgery, my right hip 5/21. I have never regretted my decision to trust this doctor. He is compassionate, knowledgeable, truthful, personable and quite funny. 100% recommend Dr. Michael Messieh????

I am patient of dr Messieh for a few years. I would recommend him for my family and friends, because he is helping me to manage my knee pain with injection, as I do not need so far any surgery. I know, that I can trust him and ,if I will be candidate for surgery, he will be the first of my choice to do it. He is caring and experienced doctor, who will do what is the best for his patients.

Dr. Messiah removed a plate and pins from my hip and put in a new hip! He and his staff were just wonderful. The hospital staff was great too! The entire procedure was explained fully. All questions were answered! In later years ,Dr Messieh did my husband's knee replacement. It was wonderful. We would, and have, recommended Dr. Messiah to our friends. Not one complaint.
