Dr. Michael McDonnell, DO

I had been a patient of Dr. McDonnell's since 2006 and left in 2016. I was anemic from heavy painful periods and he didn't even try to help me. He switch my birth control pills and when that didn't work he put back on the old ones that didn't work. He kept saying my insurance wouldn't cover an IUD. I switched to a new GYN and all he had to do was put in a prior authorization for it. Dr. McDonnell was too lazy to do the paper work. I am no longer anemic and don't have periods thanks to my IUD.

Made me feel important and cared about my pregnancy as well as my baby. Dr. McDonnell is understanding and everything you would want in a doctor. By far he is the best in town. Others you simply are a number, but at Dr. McDonnell’s office you feel welcomed. He did a wonderful job on my surgery. Very clean office and friendly staff.

He is very nice and his staff is caring about your needs..

Gave me a poorly executed epiosiotomy I didn't want that has led to long term complications. My epidural did not take, yet he seemed unconcerned about this. Very cold, talks down to patients.

Dedicated doctor who has delivered all four of my children. I highly recommend him.

He never listened to concerns and has zero concern of the excessive water weight I gained. He left me in an infectious state for several hours and never spoke to me like a human being. His office staff is the worst, his office manager is unprofessional and rude. And, Stella is the worst medical assistant I've ever seen. Do not see McDonnell. You will regret it.

I have been a patient of McDonnell for more than 10 years. In comparison to the other physicians in this town, I've always been impressed. I couldn't care less if he remembers me at each visit (some reviewers mentioned this as an issue). I only care that I'm treated like a human being. More than anything, I adore his staff. I experienced a multitude of health issues during my pregnancy (I lost 60 lbs from conception to 6 weeks postpartum due to HG), and they were always kind and understanding.

I've been a patient for this office for 23 years and am now leaving. Approximately 6 years ago the staff all switched to new people, and ever since then I have had horrible experiences. I've tried to discuss my concerns, but they're never taken seriously. Current staff is very RUDE! I feel like a criminal for trying to set up appointments, changes of information like address, or insurance. The staff acts like I'm an inconvenience. I would not recommend.

Dr. Michael McDonald was the doctor who could have seriously injured my son or killed him! He told me to stop pushing and just give up when my sons head was out but I was still trying to push his shoulders the nurse told me don't listen to him listen to me and she and my husband actually delivered our son while Michael McDonald fell asleep!!!!

Dr McDonnell came in the room after a shift change (72 hour labor, he was not my regular Dr) and it felt to me that we were just money to him. He came in just barking orders without even knowing what the situation was( at least not talking to us about it) thankfully he was not the Dr to deliver! Did not care for him, would never choose to use him as my ob.

Dr. McDonnell seems disinterested. Service was fine for normal gyn visits for quick appointments, quick pap smears and birth control scripts. However, when I was pregnant, I was shocked at his lack of attention to details (did not check my chart at all prior to entering exam room, acted like we were meeting for first time at consecutive visits). Used wristwatch to time baby's heart rate (after I asked about it during second appt it was checked). Office mgr & billing rep very unprofessional.
