Dr. Michael McCarthy, MD

I have been a patient of Dr Mccarthy’s for almost 20 years. He is always kind and never seems rushed. His visits are thorough and he is always responsive when needed outside of appointments.

Dr. McCarthy is thorough, listens and asks questions. He follows up and messages you personally through MyChart. I highly recommend.

Whenever I have a visit with Dr, McCarthy it is a pleasure. He answers all my questions and is always ready to help me.&

The thing that stood out the most to me @ this visit was that I brought in discs with EVERY MRI & CT Scan that I ever had for comparison & for future reference. It took me time go to all different locations to gather all that. Thankfully, he is the kind of doctor that kept them & loaded them in my patient portal to have them for future reference. I appreciate that he took the time to sit with me and explain the images he had. I left there feeling a big weight of worry had been lifted and confident that this doctor is watching me closely, cares about my well being (physically & mentally), & that my concerns were heard & taken seriously. I can finally have some peace of mind that I am being monitored appropriately. I love Dr McCarthy. He is always so professional, punctual, empathetic, caring, thorough…..

I have seen many physicians over the years. However I must say that Dr McCarthy is one of the most thoughtful and caring physician I have encountered. His exams are very thorough as he is searching for the cause of your dilemma that you are experiencing. The methodology he uses to get to the root of the cause is one that use all diatonic tools available. But mostly he listens and evaluates and pays close attention to what YOU the patient is saying. I would recommend him highly to anyone one needing a pulmonologist. .

Excellent Doctor!!! Dr McCarthy is always pleasant, he always takes the time to diagnose your issue, and discuss with you your treatment plan. He is never in a rush, and rarely runs late. If he is, I know it’s for a good reason, and if I needed extra medical attention he would do the same for me. I’ve been seeing him for over 25 years, and I’m thankful he is my doctor.

Dr. McCarthy is hands down the absolute best doctor I have ever encountered! We need to clone him for other areas of medicine. He treated my dad, my mother in law and me. He has knowledge, compassion and a sense of humor! What more could you ask for?

Dr. McCarthy is very patient and takes the time to speak to his patients. He answers questions and explains conditions and test results in a way the patient can understand. Considers and explains all the patient’s other health issues and interactions involved as related to his treatments.

I liked him initially but then when a test came back, he emailed me on mychart to tell me about it and said if I had questions to let him know. So I asked him questions, then he sends me a bitter message at 5am on MyChart saying if I want more information on what the lab technician's results mean, that I should come in for an appointment. Don't tell me if I have questions to let you know then not answer my question and get mad at me for asking a question!
