In treating my elderly mother he was rough, impersonal and I don’t believe he waited long enough for the anesthetic to take effect before giving her a shot in each eye for macular degeneration. Rude with a smile.

Steer Clear of This Doctor
Dr. McAllister doesn't seem to care about his patients. He has poor communication skills and His manner is rough and cold. He left me waiting on the table for three hours (while he went to lunch) for cataract surgery by that time the pain medication had long worn off. He didn't administer any more pain relief before he started; The pain was excruciating. Not only that, but the surgery damaged my eyesight permanently. He could not figure out how to cure the eye infection I am still suffering with either. I highly recommend not seeing this selfish person unless you want to risk permanent eye damage.

After 3 expensive eye tests not covered by my insurance, it decided that cataract surgery was needed to correct my vision. Unfortunately, the lens insert to my left eye was incorrect and I now have blurrier vision than before the surgery. No compensation was offered by Confluence Health.

After he lasered my mother's eye for a twitch, it hurts worse and waters all of the time. After he removed a cataract she can't hardly see due to cells forming on the back of her lens replacement. To top it all off she was kept in his office for over 2 1/2 hrs for a scheduled appointment
