I was referred to Dr. Lesem by my primary care doctor at Methodist after my psychiatrist of many years retired. I was initially hesitant and upset, but I have been seeing Dr. Lesem for four years now and I am truly blessed by having his offices as my support.

Treatment Center
My encounters with Dr. Lesem are always informative and stories of several topics. Overall I have communicated with Douglas and Elizabeth for my process. Douglas was a miracle worker by getting through for my approval and Elizabeth has been very informative, and attentive to my questions and made me feel comfortable. The chats at the beginning always has helped, very appreciative that she gave me patience and offered me the time of day with her sound advice. The office is like grand central station I would say with the lobby packed with people, long hours morning to night it seems. My coworkers were the first who mentioned if anything was new I realized they’re noticing of a change during my 7ish week.I highly recommend Dr. Lesem’s center to receive treatment.

Very likely
Dr. Lesum is very, very knowledgeable and an expert in his field. He is kind and caring. He listens. I found that he remembered information about me. He sees many patients and found this impressive. Even for late in the day appointments, he has always been professional, and patient. The staff is young. They are very welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend Dr. Lesum.

Abusive and full of self importance
Steer clear from this man! He wastes your time talking about himself and when he does focus on you, he is rude and abusive. My therapist urged me to report him, but he’s such a jerk that I fear he’ll retaliate in some way.

Thank you!
I'm welcomed to the office discreetly and escorted to a treatment area, and offered refreshments. I have no stress while here. No anxiety. No judgements. I am treated with kindness, understanding, and respect. I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with this. The support staff are remarkable young people I feel lucky to work with.

My experience with Dr. Lesem has been life changing. He really listens, comes up with a treatment plan and cares about his patients. He takes insurance (thank goodness) and is super easy to make appointments with. I have recommended him to multiple people who have had remarkable changes and results from his therapy. He offers the newest treatments in depression management and has extensive knowledge about drugs, their interactions and how to best treat the patient.

At my initial appt, “doctor” Lesem said “so the worst thing that has happened to you is that your parents don’t sleep in the same bed and yell at each other.” I said “that’s not true.” Then he said “what else? Because 1 in 2 women have been sexually assaulted and don’t report it...” He kept on about sexual assault, assuming that I would was going to tell him I was assaulted, basically setting it up like sexual assault is so frequent that it’s no big deal. When I began telling him other parts of my medical history he slammed his chart shut and said “are you kidding me? You don’t have bipolar disorder you have a “I need to grow up” disorder. I need a sign on my door that says i don’t deal w axis 2 patients”. I asked what axis ii is and he began listing off my personality disorders. He asked me how I got his name, and when I mentioned another patient of his, he started playing audio recordings patient notes in front of me which listed various patient names. I filed a HIPPA complaint.

Dr. Lesem is tremendously narcissistic. He wastes precious time babbling on about his credentials, and other off-topic orations revolving around (just) him. He referred me to a HOSPITAL during a panic attack triggered by the stressful waiting room environment. That is completely illogical because I would be sent to a psychiatrist at the hospital, but yet he goes on about his superior skills and credentials. You can't handle a simple panic attack?? He then refused to treat me because he couldn't get childhood records, even though it's done EVEYTHING in my power to track them down. I'm a professional opera singer at Houston Grand Opera, one of the world's leading companies. I have a masters degree in vocal performance. I've dedicated my LIFE to it. Out of the blue he asks how much money I make... he then condescendingly tells me that I "should consider something more practical." This guy is a self-absorbed joke.
