From the first day I met Dr. Lamson and his AWESOME team I knew I made the right choice for my hip replacement surgery. They walked me through step by step the process, answering all of my questions along the way. My surgery was a HUGE success and I am now pain free and looking forward to going back to my active routines.

I saw Dr. Lamson on 3-31-25 to discuss a potential right knee total replacement. The entire staff I interacted with were exceptional in terms of patient friendly care and professionalism. That includes Annie, his scheduler, Kara, the receptionist, Allister, the Medical Assistant, Trish, the Physician Assistant, and of course, Dr. Lamson. This was my second appointment with him. I saw Dr. Lamson a year ago about continuing pain and dexterity with my left knee replacement done at UW in 9-21. My physician in Madison recommended Sauk Prairie. Unfortunately, I have to live with limited left knee movement and pain. Despite that diagnosis, it left me with a positive opinion of Dr. Lamson, which is why I saw him recently. I now feel very confident about having Dr. Lamson perform a total right knee replacement and know that I will be in the best expert hands possible.

Dr. Lamson, his staff, the Xray technician, and Annie greeted me with real caring, encouragement, and respect. Dr. Lamson listened to my achievements, talked me through the Xray results, and answered questions. In fact, he gave me two or three chances to ask him anything I wanted to know. And he answered me! I have had a good year since my hip surgeries, sleep better, get out more, do more around the house, and can take care of my own needs - much better than I did for about 3 years! I highly recommend this outstanding and caring doctor and staff!

11 years since my hip replacement by Doctor Lamson. Every appointment from the very beginning has been so positive and everyone from the front desk throughout each appointment has been nothing but professional. I have referred several friends for hip, shoulder and knee replacements. Every person has been so grateful for my referral. Today I met Allistair who reviewed my meds, Rachel who xrayed my hip, nurse Trish along with Doctor Lamson … superb.

I had my knee replaced by Dr Lamson 6 1/2 weeks ago and he did an awesome job. I expected alot of pain and a long hard recovery, and am so happy that I didn't have either. Dr. Lamson, his staff and the entire hospital staff that cared for me are top notch. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Dr. Lamson did an excellent job informing me of the issues with my shoulder and knee and what can be done to relieve the pain. He also informed me of the risk, recovery time, and limitations from the surgery.

Dr. Lamson is simply The Best. He was attentive to my situation and made me feel comfortable with the process. He answered every question I had - I had a lot of them. My results are better than I could have hoped for. He and his team are top notch. Thank you for giving me my life back!

Dr Lamson and his staff were the best. All were very helpful. Their pre surgery through the 6 week checkup was explained well. They have classes and a book to follow with all the phone numbers that you might need. I'm a triple! As in 3 joints replaced in 1 year by the amazing surgeon Dr. Lamson. I can walk again and it feels great. Dr. Lamson and team make what could be a scary process feel very safe. They have an online program that sends you everything you need to know and do just at the right time. I appreciated this as it kept me from feeling overwhelmed. Dr. Lamson takes all safety for your welfare as priority. From pre-op prep, to having to postpone one surgery due to safety issues, to follow-up instructions I always knew my best interest was first. In addition to Dr. Lamson being an excellent surgeon, Sauk Prairie using the best technology (robot assisted replacements), I can't say enough for the outstanding customer service provided by his team. From Annie the brilliant coordinator, Sarah the nursing coordinator and every health care professional in the hospital I couldn't have felt better taken care of. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Lamson and the Sauk Prairie Orthopedic department I have had both of my hips replaced by Dr. Lamson and most recently a total replacement of my left knee. Each of the surgeries was a total success Dr. Lamson and the entire staff at Sauk Prairie are professional and very caring people. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for joint surgery.

Dr Lamson is a kind, caring, and knowledgeable surgeon. He replaced my right knee in October, and will do the left soon. He did not rush me at any appointment. He explains things thoroughly, listens carefully and never makes me feel like I'm taking too much of his time. His staff is very competent and helpful. I highly recommend him, and Sauk Prairie hospital, as well.

One year after surgery I can walk, run and ride a bike as far as I would like. I have little to no pain after doing very physical activities other than normal muscle fatigue. I was impressed by the care and time spent with me during this process. I highly recommend Dr. Lamson and Sauk Prairie Hospital for both surgery and physical therapy. I am totally satisfied with my results and am grateful to have my mobility back.

Dr. Lamson replaced both of my hips last summer, and proved to be a skilled surgeon. I had an excellent professional experience from my initial appointment through my one year post op visit. The quality of care before, during and after surgery was fantastic. I couldn’t be more pleased with the results!

I went to see Dr. Lamson for a second opinion on a total knee replacement. I found him and the staff at Sauk Prairie Healthcare to be extremely knowledgable, thoughtful, and compassionate. They took time to answer my questions. I would highly recommend Dr. Lamson and Sauk Prairie Healthcare! (My first opinion was from a surgeon at the UW Hospital/Clinic. The visit was rushed, the doctor and the resident were insensitive and frankly, quite arrogant.)

After years of injections in both knees in Madison, I knew it was time for surgery. From my career in Pharmaceuticals, I had many contacts among physicians in Wisconsin. After asking a number of well established trusted physicians who they would go to if they needed a knee replacement, the majority endorsed Orthopedic Associates with Sauk Prairie Heathcare. I chose Dr. Lamson and was soon meeting with him and his staff with my first surgery scheduled for March 2021. After a positive surgery outcome and recovery, I scheduled surgery for my other knee. I had my second surgery recently. I am again recovering nicely after just completling physical therapy. My experience with both Dr.Lamson and everyone whom I came into contact with at the clinic and hospital was very positive. Dr. Lamson has a friendly confident manner. The staff in the clinic and the hospital were all positive and exceeded my expectations. The hospital itself was small, nicely detailed and left a favorable impression.

I just had my 1 year postop exam after my hip replacement. My first year with no hip pain in a long time! I would highly recommend Dr. Lamson as a surgeon. He not only is a great surgeon but also is very personable, always answered my questions fully, and most importantly, ended the pain and limping that I had been experiencing for many years. I never felt rushed, was encouraged to ask questions, felt listened to. Dr Lamson is a top notch Ortho surgeon. I’m 53 years old and never been under the knife. I was extremely nervous with hip replacement surgery, but Dr Lamson and his team made this process smooth and a success. I’m amazed how little pain I experienced and the recovery was quick. Highly recommend going anterior approach, less pain, no cutting of muscle or tendons, less restrictions, and faster recovery. Dr Lamson cares about his patients and great communication skills. His timeline recovery was spot on. His team does a great job with info and prep before surgery. Sauk facility provides a great atmosphere. I’ll be going back to Dr Lamson for any future surgeries, one of the best around!

Dr Lamson is an amazing surgeon. I have had 3 other hip surgeries, this surgery and recovery was the best experience I ever had. Dr Lamson explained what he was doing and why. He answered all my concerns. My recovery time was cut in half compared to my other surgeries. This is the first time in years (or maybe my life) that I can walk with no hip pain. I didn't know if it was ever a possibility for me to be without hip pain. However with Dr Lamson's skills anything is possible. I don't have any hip pain. Thank you Dr Lamson
