Dr. Michael Korenfeld, MD

This man will attack you if you ask questions. Just horrible. His assistant gave me a paper to sign. I explicitly asked her if this was consenting to the procedure. She said no, it was just saying I had been informed about the procedure. I did not read it thoroughly. Well it did say I would get the procedure. There was pressure to sign it and I should have seen that. There are decent ophthalmologists out there. He is not one of them. He is also an extremely nasty person.

The minute Dr korenfeld walked in he had a attitude and it got worse as he went on ,I have never been talked to by a doctor like this

I have had the pleasure of working with Dr. Korenfeld as an inventor and also as a care-giver. He has performed both of my parent's Cataract procedures on both eyes. Aside from his genius-inventor mind, his bedside manner with my parents is second to none.

This was the most arrogant, rude, non compassionate & disrespectful doctor I have ever encountered in all of my 68 yrs! I really think he did not want me as a patient, which is fine. There are others out there. I would not recommend him to my worst enemy! I felt like I was in the presence of the devil! I chose a new doctor who has also heard unpleasant things about Dr Korenfeld from other patients. He may have great credentials & experience, but it is awful to have been treated this way. It's hard to believe he has been in practice for this long if this is how he treats people, then maybe it's time for him to retire. A little kindness & compassion goes a long way, he had none. My visit was a one and only visit, no treatment just a basic diagnosis.

Well, Dr. Korenfeld's visit was wonderful he explained all the issues of the planned surgery. He explained how the process needed to occur to the administrative staff and we needed to do them in consecutive weeks. He was adamant with this direction I was given a phone number to call the next day to work out the dates. As an aside, while my husband overheard the way the staff treated patients. It was mean, dismissive, and, as soon as the patient left the staff bad-mouthed the patient's as stupid. I say that now so you understand how awful the next steps became. No, I couldn't do the surgery as the doctor's ordered unless I signed a waiver absolving them of any liability. No, the lens the Doctor told you about won't be the ones we use. Yes, the costs for the procedure would be is $X, unless it is $Y or perhaps $Z, you understand right? Mean spirited, arrogant, misleading, and contrary to the Dr's recommendations. Good luck, you will need it.

Absolutely worst eye doctor experience ever! Staff not friendly or helpful. Unwilling to give me my daughters prescription for fear of ordering else where. Doctors bedside manner also atrocious.

Excellent Dr. and office staff. I have recommended him to several people for cataract surgery. He's very businesslike, but a very good Dr. His assistant Dr. Dr. Tuttle is very good too.
