Poor cataract surgery
Dr. Kelly performed my cataract surgery in May with toric lenses. My vision is not good. After multiple visits with the doctor, they keep saying they will correct it; but, still have not done anything. Trying to call their office requires holding for 5 or more minutes just to get to the call center to get transferred to the office. Nothing is being addressed. I would not recommend this practice.

Problems with cataract surgery
Dr. Kelly did my cataract surgery on November 16, 2023. It was a disappointment. I could not see out of that eye. It was like looking through a fogged up window and was very painful. I saw Dr. Kelly on the initial visit. Day after surgery, follow up was done by his tech and then 3 visits to the optometrist who referred me to a retina specialist who I saw the end of December. He referred me to a cornea specialist who discovered that the tip of the lens implant had broken off and was lodged in my eye. First part of January, the cornea specialist removed the fragment. At first, he thought he was going to have to do a cornea transplant but fortunately, my eye started healing. It has been 5 months and my eye still does not feel normal but I have my vision back and there is no pain. I don't know if it was something Dr. Kelly did or a faulty lens. I do feel that if Dr. Kelly had seen me for follow up visits, he would have known something was not right and I would have had less damage.

Are you Kidding Me? 52 yo with early cataracts and Dr. Kelly was the Only Dr. I would trust my eyesight to. A bit dry in the Humor but I'm not buying Humor. I want a world class surgeon when he's working on my eyes. Wonderful experience. Had the Toric vision correction lenses put in and I am 20/15 on day 3 after my 2nd eye surgery! What More Could You Want? See Dr. Kelly. He is the one you want operating on your eyes!

I felt like it was all about the money. Everyone in his office acted like a robot. I have since gone to another doctor and have my cataract surgery scheduled. Totally different experience. Do not recommend him at all. I have been to a lot of doctors and have never written a bad review, but felt like I should do this to help other people, especially older patients.

Incredibly demeaning - actually condescending attitude. All about $$$ - patients are simply cogs in their manufacturing process.

My wife and I have both had cataract surgery by Dr. Kelly in 2016. We've had an excellent experience, as well as great results. The improvement in our vision has been better than expected. We are grateful for Dr. Kelly and Dr. Smolenyak's skills. In my case, the thoroughness of their exam found a retina condition which had been missed by other ophthalmologists. The technical and office staff are pleasant, knowledgeable and highly professional. I recommend Kelly Eye Center.

If you like feeling like your entering an upscale factory, you may enjoy the experience. I did not. I had cataract removal and crystal lens which was to improve vision for both near and far sight. Was told I may need light readers for small print. Very disappointed. Dr. Kelly's office seemed interested in collecting upfront money over informing the patient (me) of what to expect. In addition to having to use readers for most any print, I also have floaters in my left eye.
