Excellent Doctor
His is very wise and spot on with his diagnoses. Becasue of him, we caught stage one cancer and dsaved my husband. I was just in a few days ago and was following up on some meds he prescribed for me. The appt was last minute so they got me in with his daughter, a new doctor. I am so happy with her approach. They are a great duo. I highly recommend!

I want to start this off by saying that this has to be the worst experience I’ve ever had with a "MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL." That is if you have the nerve to call him one. I came here with my son and father-in-law to ask questions as our father-in-law is taking ten medications, and on the last visit, he was told he was very close to developing CKD. When we heard this, we were extremely concerned and asked our family friend, who is a doctor, about the medicine he was taking. She was surprised to find out that he was taking six blood pressure medications. We started the meeting by asking what each of his medications did for him, to which he responded, "There's Google, you know you can google it?" At first, I thought, "Okay fair, but an unnecessary comment to make when I'm there to consult a doctor, not Google." He explained what each of them did, and stated that all were still to be taken. My father-in-law provided the doctor with a notebook with which he listed each date he took his blood pressure and noted it down. He read the first page, didn't bother to read the rest, and said, "Still with it." Meaning that all 10 medications were still to be taken. My son then asked, "All of them? Even though it might be heavy on his-" He cut him off and said, "Are you the doctor? Take all of the medication." My son tried to speak multiple times but was cut off each time. Between each following comma and sentence, my son tried to speak. "As far as I'm concerned, I tell him what to do, good? If you don't like it, change doctors. Okay? Good." I asked if the medication might progress the development of CKD. He stated that all medications that he was taking were helping his health and did not prescribe any that would impact the kidney functions which is why he gave them to him. Despite being embarrassed and disrespected, my son still had questions for the doctor. The first was about one of the medications that my father-in-law was taking. He found on Google that Omeprazole could further the progression of CKD and wanted to confirm if it was true. He said, "Everyone takes omeprazole, you can get it over the counter." He paused, leaving a silence in the room, and alone broke it by stating, "Every medicine has side effects.” The part that enrages us is his nerve to tell my son when he said we were just worried for his health, "I’m worried for his health too. I'm the doctor here, I know what's best for him. If you don't like what you're hearing, go ahead, go to your insurance and change doctors. Everything I'm doing is to keep him alive, it sounds like to me you want your grandfather to die." He continued, “Of course, you can choose to suffer and throw away all the medication and he can end up in the emergency room.” It was absurd and made our blood boil. We had no choice but to bite our tongues because we didn’t want to stoop down to his level of unprofessionalism. If we chose to speak, we knew things would escalate very quickly. He was getting ready to leave when my son asked if the medication that his grandfather was taking was as needed or if it had to be daily. He snapped quickly, "Have you read the labels on the bottles? I'm not going to waste my time here. Read the labels." And he exited the room. We were left stunned and severely disrespected. He was unprofessional and condescending during our visit. We didn’t get to ask all the questions we wanted to, it felt like we were talking to a wall. Not only was he snarky, but he made unnecessary comments when asked a question. The level of unprofessionalism that we witnessed was unreal. The only thing we can thank him for is his suggestion to switch doctors.

Dr. Kazak is without a doubt a great doctor; However, his staff is to say the least poor, people with an outrageous lack of professionalism whom are more concern about opening make up shipments and telling other patients why they don't have health coverage or why they don't pay their medical bills...they don't even know when it is appropriate to charge for copay. It seems to me that there are test being order just to bill the insurance and collect copayments from who is willing to pay them.

Overbooked, too many patients, mediocre staff, very very long wait times and very short time spent during examinations. Basically, if you do not have any questions, Dr. Kazak swiftly moves on to the next patient. Don't know why the wait is so long if he does not spend much time with patients during examinations.
