My Hero
My pain management Dr. referred me to Dr Hill, after an injury I sustained in the spring last year but advised me Dr. Hill would only move forward if he felt certain he could help me. So he doesn’t perform surgeries on a whim. I am so grateful to have been under Dr. Hill’s care. On my initial appointment Dr. Hill reviewed my MRI with me, answered my questions, addressed my concerns and discussed my treatment plan step by step. He was thorough, careful and precise. His staff was always professional, kind and patient with me. I was surprised by some of the negative reviews I read as my experience was quite exceptional. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Hill to anyone who has any spinal problems. From my point of view, surgery must be his passion. He seems determined and dedicated to achieving success. Thank you Dr Hill, I am truly grateful for you and your staff.

Horrible bedside manners.
I wish I would have read these reviews before my first appointment and saved and hour of my life I will never get back. It is obvious he does not care about anyone but himself. I have never is 71 years had a Doctor ask me numerous questions and rudely cut me off before I could answer any of them. He kept telling me how overworked he is and that he just doesn't have enough time in his day. He can save some time now, because I will not be returning to this arrogant man!

Go elsewhere
Go elsewhere. This is a very uncaring Dr. He did complain about the mri that was completed. I waited almost 1.5 hrs in waiting room. He was very distant and seemed not to give a darn about my problem. I left and would not take his referral or a return to his office. Never evere dealt with a Dr. of this caliber.

Outstanding surgeon
I know so many people that have had back surgery and the majority either limp or are in pain all the time. Dr. Hill did my surgery and I cannot believe how well I feel now My surgery was had to be done became of an accident I had. I am so grateful that Dr. Hill was my physician because so many people have problems end up with back problems for the rest of their lives, and I don’t .

Humph
Great Dr if you are into being devalued put down. Maybe he might be able to do better with a referral to a coral snake. They both have a lot on common

Don't waste your time or co-payment. Wasn't interested in talking or explaining my spine issue. According to my MRI, I have multiple herniated discs, but he just blew it off and I left there knowing as much as I did when I walked in the front door. He has little personality and no bedside manner.

Yes Dr Hill is short and to the point, he is a neurosurgeon not your golf buddy. If you don't need surgery he will not do it. If you are not fit for surgery he will not do it. He has performed two surgeries on me and refused a third due to me gaining weight and he said with the weight the surgery would not be successful. What did I do out of desperation, look for another neurosurgeon and guess what, Dr Hill was right. The surgery was much needed BUT the weight prohibited recovery and I am much worse now. The man knows what he is doing. He graduated medical school with HONORS. He can look at an MRI for 3 seconds and know if he can help or not. I woke up from both my cervical fusions completely out of pain. I was dressed and ready to go home before he even checked in the next morning. Recovery was amazing. I learned my lesson and would never go to any other neurosurgeon.

We have not seen Dr. Hill yet but will be here in the near future. This review is on behalf of his staff. Every person I was in contact with in his office was very kind and helpful I have to give them all the credit. They have gone out of their way to help us out to get what we needed and information we needed one of his staff members even called me the next morning to help me more as she thought about it through the night. Nobody does that anymore and thank you very much to all of you who are helping us in a world of hate you are a ray of sunshine. You all have done a great job and he has a very good staff thank you all very much.

Dr. Hill went over to my husband and called him by a different name other than ours. When we told him that I, a female was the patient, he called me by a different name. Had not looked at my reports of procedures done, i.e. MRIs and ultrasound, did not look at protrusion on my spine. Very displeased with bedside manner and lack of knowledge of myself as a potential new patient.

I was in his office for no longer than 2 minutes. He looked at my MRI and told me I didn't need a surgeon. Didn't tell me what was wrong, didn't diagnose me, but seemed annoyed that I was even there. When I asked his nurse why they even accepted me as a patient if he felt that way, she said he gets annoyed when people come who don't need surgery. She told me that my answers to their questions when I made my appointment must have made them think the visit was required. But my family doctor, who referred me to Dr. Hill, made the apptmt; therefore, I never answered any questions from them. He charged my insurance company $724.02 which I am going to dispute because he told me NOTHING about my MRI except to say that my family doctor didn't know how to read it.

He is a joke. Doesn't want to look at your MRI results or hear your symptoms. Out of thin air he diagnosed my severe neck pain as arthritis and suggested I take NSAIDs even tho I told him other medical conditions prevent me from doing this. Pompous, Arrogant....stay far away from this jerk!

I visited Dr. Hill for help with intractable back pain. Instead of rushing to more surgery, he recommended a much more minor procedure to block nerves -- with less pan and less recovery time. He was personable and extremely knowledgeable.

Dr. Hill performed a lumbar laminectomy procedure on me in Aug, 2017. He is a great neurosurgeon and very talented. I was walking after 2 days of surgery with no pain. I would highly recommend him to anyone. I can’t say enough about Dr. Hill’s expertise along with his associate. I am extremely happy with the surgery and treatment that I have received.

CAUTION!! Before you have surgery get at least 2 more options. I had surgery and am MUCH WORSE then before surgery. Pain level at 8-9 everyday if I try to walk more than 20 feet. Severe sciatic right leg nerve pain EVERYDAY!! Before surgery I used a cane - After surgery I am using a motorized wheelchair. Also have lost bladder control. You never see Dr Hill after your surgery. Was sent to a pain clinic ( 3 epidural with no help) severe sciatic still there. This Surgery ruined my life!!
