Dr. Hicks is a fantastic communicator, funny, puts you at ease, listens, answers all of your questions and thoroughly researches your case to figure out what is best for your situation! Highly recommend!!!

Dr Hicks saved my life with his skill, my psyche with his bedside manner. I was treated in Annapolis, MD, where Dr Hicks was in rotation in December 2021, and I still miss his care deeply. He is now my benchmark for what the ideal physician should be.I wish nearly daily that he could be my current oncologist and that he hadn't gone back to Michigan. During my treatment, one of his residents was an Air Force doctor who was stationed in Hawaii. She had been sent to Maryland specifically to study under Dr Hicks. Wow.On second thought, 553 miles one way is rather a distance for a doctor's appointment, so l guess I'll just have to plan a visit when I'm able :)Patch Adams for grown-ups.

I went to Dr. Hicks on a referral from a stranger who saw me crying in a store & cared enough to ask what was wrong, I had just left my oncologist who scheduled a surgery that would have deformed me, I was very distraught but as it turns out, she was a breast cancer survivor patient of Dr. Hicks. She spoke so highly of him that I had my records sent for his review and was blessed that he chose to take my case. He made my husband & I feel so at ease during my 1st appointment, I went from crying to laughing, his bedside manner and personality are the best! I went from the lowest point in my life, the fear of cancer and being deformed to being put at ease and having hope, he assured me he could do my surgery without any deformity like my 1st oncologist said I would have and he was right, my surgery was a success! I also learned a friend of mine is another success story of his! Yes, follow up is with his PA, he's busy saving lives but shes great,trust you're in just as good hands with her

Dr Hicks saved my life in 2007. I have been seeing him since. He is the most awesome Dr I have ever seen. I love his jovial manner. His specialty is his calling, and he has to have his boisterous attitude to get through the days. Always a smile, always a joke, and always totally honest. He doesn’t mess around explaining anything. He is straightforward and makes sure you understand. I have followed him to a couple different locations and I have waited on him to make his appointments. And I will continue to do this forever. He is a very busy man and has saved many lives, and I may get frustrated here and there, but he is worth any wait. I highly recommend Dr Hicks, when he walks through the door with that beaming smile and a silly remark, you know you have found the right Dr.

Dr Hicks is an amazing doctor. He treated me like one of his own and goes above and beyond. Always keeps a smile on your face. Explained everything to me where I understood, and never rushed me. He is saving my life. Highly recommend.

Hi have worked with dr Hicks and am also one of his pts. He is an amazing dr that really cares for his patients. I had cervical cancer and my primary gym wanted to do a different procedure, which would of made having children more complicated.Dr Hicks did a different procedure and I was able to get pregnant right away and have been cancer free for 8 years now. I can’t thank dr Hicks enough for what he has done for me.

Was referred to Dr Hicks after receiving a cancer diagnosis. He is a wonderful doctor/surgeon that answered all my questions. He’s also a very caring person with an awesome sense of humor. He really put me at ease during that time. He performed surgery and I am cancer free. I would not hesitate to refer him. Great doc!

I went through a lot of doctors and a lot of pain, before I found a Dr that could help me. He is a little crazy and full of himself. But I think that is what I need. He takes great care of me, he can tell me when my body needs help. before I do. And he is always right. He knows his stuff. And I'm not just saying that because he saved my life a few times. All those other doctors were close to killing me. I would be dead with out him.

Dr. Hicks is a wonderful doctor. He is extremely knowledgeable and is up on the latest treatment options. He always puts me at ease when I see him. He is very caring and has a great sense of humor. He takes the time to listen to you and explain everything so that you understand it. A cancer diagnosis is a scary thing but he knows how to comfort his patients and helps them maintain positive outlooks. His office staff is great and quick with getting back with you.

I had wonderful a experiences with Dr Hick himself, however is billing staff that he hires outside the hospital was a different story! And if you are a product of the people you hire then Dr Hick I can say because of them I'm seriously reconsidering my health care professional. Lynn was extremely rude with me over $25. That was totally uncalled for. So Dr Hick of you see these please reconsider your billing company, not all patients are the same. I would have paid this bill had i gotten it.

He might be a great doctor but I only saw him on the initial office call, in pre-opened and on second office visit. I had a total hysterectomy and was in hospital a total of 7 days I saw his resident while I was an in patient. I feel that he should have checked up on me as his office was in the building, was he that busy?

I do not recommend seeing Dr.hicks. He had my mother for a patient and after doing surgery on her, he passed her onto one of his nurses and never followed up with her himself.
