Good clinical skills; mediocre bedside manner
I was a patient of Dr Hennigan’s several years ago. In terms of physician clinical skills, he was quite good and can be very informative. He can, however, be patronizing and condescending if you dare disagree with him or he’s having a bad day. Just fyi -

Dr. Hennigan cares about his patients. He actually listens to their concerns. Becaause his specialty is Endocrinology he knows that if the Endocrine System isn't working properly it can cause a variety of other illnesses. Dr. Hennigan is thorough with his lab work and patient history and he stays current with what is happening in the world of medicine. I don't trust my life or my health to anyone but Dr. Hennigan. He is the BEST.

I have always had to wait a very long time to see the doctor; even when I get there early. When the doctor finally comes to see me in the patient room, it usually last between 5-7 minutes. The last appointment I had, I arrived 1 minute after the appointment time, but I called in advance to let them know about the traffic. I ended up waiting for 2 hrs before getting to see him. My visit with the dr. was no more than 5 minutes long. After this incident, I never came back.

I have been unable to secure a visit or even telephone contact with this doctors office since January 1 2021. My primary care doctor sent his office a referral as they required. I have called AT LEAST 8 times this month to try and make contact. I have left messages (when the voicemail box has not been full). Absolutely NO return calls. Although my insulin pump provider, Tandem, recommended him, I believe they are not even professional enough to return calls.
