Not good for AA women
I saw Dr. Michael due to a bad case of food poisoning which I suspected was giardia or some GI bug. It was my first time seeing him, but I explained that I had 3 weeks of diarrhea (rainbow toilet-green, orange), was always hungry and lost 15 lbs. I also was experiencing vertigo half my work day. I’ve never been a size 0 which concerned me. His student for the day seemed concerned. He was chatty, dismissive, and kind. I felt he didn’t think I was competent (we chatted and I let him know I worked in biopharm). He went through next steps, ordered blood work, but didn’t state HIV was part. I have no problem getting tested, but would have liked to known the order sign those papers in office vs. lab clerk front desk getting flustered and whispering this step. I suffered for months. If you are a Black woman, please see a naturopathic

Dr. Hanak is so thorough & addresses all my issues. He is so responsive on MyChart & even helped me on Christmas Eve on his day off. The care he gives me is excellent & I feel so blessed to have Dr. Hanak as my primary doctor as he guides me on my health issues.
