Dr Haak did what he told me and the healing is better than expected

Working with Dr. Haak was exceptional from the initial consultation to the recovery. My cervical nerve damage was getting to point where I was having facial paralysis and chronic headaches and those issues are no longer present. He was very forthcoming from the beginning about trying alternate courses of therapy other than surgery but with the partial facial paralysis, it soon became evident surgery was needed. The other members of his care team are outstanding. I will be consulting with him for lower back surgery when the time is appropriate and am very thankful for his experience and professionalism. I have since recommended him to others in need of professional orthopedic surgical care.

I had a spinal fusion in March 2024 and to say that my experience was one of a kind would be an understatement! Dr Haak and the staff at Geisinger were upfront, honest, caring, empathetic to my needs and very friendly! I had to travel 8.5 hrs to PA for my surgery and would do it all over again with this team of professionals! Thank you!!

Dr. Haak is an AMAZING surgeon! He was very upfront, thorough, detailed and exact to point. Reassuring every step of the way. C 5-7 replacements. 1 year scheduled for PT and rehab, I finished in 3 months !!! Released back to work full duty with very little to NO PAIN or discomfort. Some soreness when I work hard or strenuous, I am a diesel technician. Very thankful for your work and expertise. Bless you Dr. Haak. You truly have saved my life. Eternally grateful.

Dr. Haak is an outstanding surgeon. He will tell you exactly how it is and exactly what to expect. My recovery has been way easier than what I thought it would be and the care team has been there every step of the way. I can now say I am able to wake up and go through my day pain free which is something I haven't been able to do in 2 years. Hands down the best choice and best Dr. To have through it all!

In 2012 Dr. Haak performed a microdiscectomy on me and I have to say 4 years later and I have never felt better. Not only was the surgery fantastic and went off without a hitch but I have never had to go back to pain meds for my herniation. Thanks Dr. Haak!
