Dr. Michael Goodman, MD

It's been quite some time since I went to address, resolve meno issues, seeing he'd written a book called the menopause bible. I had no insurance at that time to cover the visit, and rather than resolve my issues he spent most of the time asking me questions leading up to how I liked the APPEARANCE of my ladyparts! I just wanted relief. I see he's smartened up and advertises AS cosmetic surgery now, as he billed me for seeing if I was a candidate for THAT, not to resolve my atrophy. Then prescribed me a steroid or cortisone, which made my issue worse.

It’s been some years since I saw this Dr and it still gives me anxiety when I think of it.Thinking I was doing the right thing trying to educate myself, I researched my ailment and excitedly mentioned info I found… for some reason this caused him to absolutely SNAP!! For the next 15-20 min he yelled at me and berated me, even shaking he was so angry. I could not believe his arrogance made him so livid that I would try and learn something on my own for myself to discuss with him (I had thought he would be pleased) I was in absolute shock and froze and just took the verbal rant. I finally got to the point of tears and was able to speak up and tell him that he’s been yelling at me for 20 minutes without letting me talk! I didn't want to pay him(he charged by the minute) to yell at me! I cried for hours after the appointment-never have I been treated so horribly by any human let alone a doctor. I know it’s too late really to warn others-but at least I’ve finally been able to speak up.

I found Dr Goodman to be rather dismissive and arrogant. Didn’t listen and was impatient with questions which is odd as most of his cases are multi-layered. I’d expect a doctor with such great reviews to take the time to probe but he got visibly frustrated whenever I veered away from his methodical list of checking the boxes. The visit notes confirmed he not only misunderstood but was almost mockingly unkind. I traveled from the Midwest and stayed in an overpriced hotel with the hopes he’d help and the whole experience was a major disappointment. Its also a bad sign when each negative review is followed up by a defensive comment by this doctor “proving he is always right” Quite telling. Finally, I found his staff to a bit catty.

He is incredible.

I highly recommend Dr. M. Goodman. He came across as someone who sincerely cares about women’s health. Dr. G did a bilateral labia majora reduction for me. The reason for having the reduction was to make them look cute and that's just what the Dr. did, perfectly pert and natural. I read a review that said, run don't walk to this Dr. and I very much agree. Dr. G’s practice is full service gyn. I wouldn’t hesitate to see him for something not covered by ins. or if I wasn't satisfied w/primary gyn.

Dr. Goodman was very helpful, accommodating, and understanding. I would say he is a pro in his sphere. Everything was very well communicated to me, and all of my questions were answered with no hesitation. I recommend Dr. Goodman without hesitation - I am totally satisfied with his work. Dr. Goodman's staff is very pleasant to talk to as well. I would write much more, but five hundred characters is too few to describe the greatness of my experience with Dr. Goodman.
