Dr. Michael Gilbert, MD

Dr Gilbert has little or no personality. However, he is an excellent partitioner. He is abrupt and often impatient, so if you need that kind of support, he is not for you. If you need good care, he is a good choice

If you want a comprehensive exam by a doctor this is not the office for you! This is a profit center, where you see the doctor for about 10 minutes max. Often times the doctor is condescending, brushes you off your concerns and isrude. Go at your own discretion.

Totally unsatisfactory. "Dr." is ego-oriented and not patient-oriented. Treated generically and impersonally. Does not take the time to relate to you as an individual. Does not solicit questions you may have and visits are short and abrupt.

I am very happy that I finally had cataract surgery with Dr. Gilbert. I had put it off for many years because of my sensitivity to the dilation drops routinely used. Dr. Gilbert listened to my story and used a different drug. I did fine with it and the surgery went well. I am so relieved and grateful to have the cataract removed. The staff was very accommodating and listened to my special needs. What more could you want?

I knew I needed cataract surgery and had put if off for a while , (as I was being a chicken, lol) I decided it was time, I have been going to NW Vision for 6 years. I contacted the office to set up the appointment to be evaluated, Dr. Gilbert and his staff are very professional and kind, and knowledgeable in what they are helping you with. Trever was very helpful in helping me decide on what lenses were best for me. The day of my surgery was great from check in to being discharged. Everything ran like clockwork, everyone from the nurses to assistants did everything with precision and you could feel they are confident in what they were doing. I felt relaxed and confident in everything being done before going into surgery. Once in surgery I was a little nervous as I wasn't sure what it was going to feel like in my eye. It all went smooth and I felt very confident and trusting with Dr. Gilbert and trusting him made me feel calmer during surgery.

My recent cataract surgery on both eyes done by Dr Gilbert was an excellent experience. From the initial eye exam every step was explained by staff and Dr Gilbert. The entire team is first class. All explanations were friendly and thorough. The surgery days were done timely and I experienced NO discomfort. Recovery was Buick and I was seeing the day after surgery. Seeing without glasses after needing them for over 60 years is truly amazing. I would change nothing done by Dr Gilbert and the entire staff. My thanks to All King Kelso

Excellent consultation and surgical processes. Dr. Gilbert and his staff were very professional, respectful, and informative at every step thru post op. I was consistently informed of each activity I was undergoing throughout surgery so there was no concerns regarding what I was experiencing or as to what would happen next. Had cataract surgery to replace old lens with CrystaLens and it is really wonderful to put the glasses in the drawer. Adjustments are going well. 2020 for distance and intermediate in each eye and very glad I opted for this type of replacement. Dr. Gilbert was very informative and supportive before during and post-surgery. Looking forward to a much brighter world of vision after all has settled in.

My experience w/Dr. Gilbert/NWVI was terrible *Rushed thru lens choice, technician mislead about multi-focal lens *Developed scar tissue, waited 90 days for laser procedure so not covered by original claim *When Dr. G could no longer deny that my vision was worse than before the surgery (obvious within 24 hrs) was going to do corneal ablation surgery to correct his mistakes *Complaints about charges bounced between billing/tech *Complaints about poor quality/outcome ignored by Dr. Gilbert & staf

Cataract surgery = no big deal. Seriously, no pain, perfect vision, like someone turned the lights on. Recovery almost instant with only medical eyedrops needed for awhile.

I have been a patient of Dr. Gilbert for over 14 years. His knowledge, professional and yet personal care supersedes all other eye care I have received through the years. His staff gives the same level of care for we patients. With my cataract surgery, I was given all the information I needed and support to feel less afraid of what was about to occur. Dr. Gilbert has now removed cataracts from both eyes. I was scared to death to have anything done to my eyes, but it reached a point I couldn't put it off. He'd removed my mom's and my sister's cataracts and they were very pleased. Now, so am I. The clinic is so well organized and the staff were warm and professional. Now I can drive at night and watch TV without glasses. What a life changing difference.

So glad I was referred to Dr. Gilbert. He was excellent. He asked for previous records, completed his own testing and procedures. He answered all questions and explained my options and also his rationale for what he recommended. He has an amazing staff who went that extra mile, helped find source for more cost effective medication, and assistance with glasses and contacts. I received very personalized care.
