Dr. Michael Esantsi, MD

Dr. Esantsi is an excellent physician, he actually listens to your concerns and questions to make an educated assessment of treatment. I have been going to Dr. Esantsi for about 20 years. I suffered a brain aneurysm in 2006, and recently another one in May of this year 2024. Dr. Esantsi got me to the best Physician that specializes operating on aneurysms in the difficult area where my aneurysm was located. Dr. Esantsi truly cares about his patients and their wellbeing. I recommend him to anyone who wants a doctor that really cares about your health and treatment plan.

Addressed all issues that I had and provided considered recommendations to treat the issues.

My visits with Dr. Esantsi have not been to my satisfaction. He did not show much concern or interest in the patient. He gave the impression of not knowing much about his practice, always having to look things up.

Always AWESOME!! There WAS an issue with staff but the last visits were Great !!

My last physical was conducted by Dr. Esantsi. He was very thorough in assessing the issues and factors that I presented to him and asked many questions to ensure that he fully understood my concerns.

Dr. Esantsi is very patient and professional, listens to what you need for him to know, and is very astute about his observations and recommendations. He is very bright and very nice. It took me a long time to research his training and background and it paid off. He is able to take over my Endocrinology and Cardiology monitoring as well as general health issues. He allowed my husband to join my appointment to hear his evaluation. I am very pleased with his care.

Dr is great, but Sophie answers the phone she is rude for no reason she speaks over you when you talk your health is not her concern, she is dismissive in how she speaks to ppl I have FMLA paperwork that needs to be filled and they are literally holding it hostage I have to pay $75 every visit and they won’t give me my paper so I can get my FMLA, it’s ppl out of work who would do a great job idk why she is there!

I'm going to Dr. Esantsi for many years and I'm always satisfied BUT a Doctor can only be a good Doctor when he got a good team behind. Unfortunately, the communication is very bad. It's hard to reach someone at the phone, emails will not be answered and my request for refills are being ignored.

I have been seeing Dr. Michael Esantsi since I moved to NW Houston in 2011, I lived close to his office at the time, I have had some issues with using HMO insurance and having to get referrals back years ago with the staff. I have loved Dr. Esantsi since I first saw him, He helped me through my daughter Sabrina's passing, Dr. Esantsi was so compassionate with my daughter that was battling breast cancer, she was 51 years old, he held her hand when she was talking to him about her condition, he has a marvelous bedside manner. I'm praying he gets the staff situation worked out because he is the best Doctor all over Houston. I have left him numerous times because of the staff, but I always come back because of Him. *They need to always have the voice mail on so patients can leave a VM, I hope they get better with that. I pray for all of them, they are getting better since Sofia and now Ruby has joined the team. I love them all Sofia, Megan and the nurse Anna., only spoke to Ruby on phone

Dr Esantsi is Very Professional and has a great manner. Office staff is ok, but the doctor is why I go to him.

As stated earlier from numerous patients, Dr Estani is great BUT the staff is awful, rude and condescending. I was lied to from Anna and the preauthorization nurse several times about a medication. I went to the office in person and was met with eye rolling once I showed proof that no pre authorization was started. Does Dr Esanti know that his staff is horrible? I would recommend Dr Esanti to family and friends if he had a new staff. How can I give him a 5 star rating if you can't get what he has prescribed for your health due to his staff being lazy?

The office predicate has improved tremendously now that Sofia is working there full-time. She is guaranteed to answer the phone and return calls. So, if you need appointments, medication, refills, Prior Authorizations, etc. Contact Sofia. Dr. Esantsi is the best I'm doctor around and I highly recommend him.

The Dr is really good but you cannot get in touch with the office. My wife needs an update to her prescription because she has run out of her depression medicine too soon because of the trial dosage was too low but we cannot get her updated prescription sent so now she has to stop taking her medicine until we can get in touch with the doctor. This office is putting my wife in a dangerous situation and I highly recommend you do NOT use this doctor because of this reason. Look through these reviews, this has been happening for years apparently

He has been the PCP for over 24 years! He is the most knowledgeable Doctor who not only cares, but is current with all the latest technology! All my Kids (Ages 33, 29 & 27) love him as well and trust his knowledge; because he can thoroughly explain numerous situations that has been experienced and provide outstanding preventative care! He is a very intelligent Internal Medicine Doctor with a great personality! Once you start talking to him and any interfacing with him, you soon realize he is very concerned about your health and not how much money he can gouge out of the insurance company or your pocket; Doctors like Dr. Esantsi are few and far in-between; A good Doctor can be hard to find!

Dr. Esantsi beside manners are STELLAR! He is very knowledgeable and caring but his staff is rude and unconcerned about his patients, you have to call several times just to get someone to answer the phone. If the office don’t want to answer the phone...then offer the option to make online appointments, it’s very frustrating.

Dr. Esantsi is great....his office staff, with one exception (Sophia) is good. While it's Sophia's job to check phone messages and pass on ok's for prescription renewals, we've never been able to get refills in a timely fashion whenever she answers the phone. For that reason we are looking for another physician.

Dr. Esantsi is not only a very attentive doctor, but he’s knowledgeable and each time he has tested me for all my ailments he has been precise and I don’t know of anything that will make me not continue to be his patient!!

You explain everything in terms that are in lay terms that I can understand. You have the best bedside manner a patient could ever ask for. Dr. Esanti Is a really caring and knowledgeable doctor. He takes his time with you and help you understand what is going on with your body. Very good at referring you to specialist. I appreciate the consistency and the ability to schedule appointments in a reasonable time frame.

DR. Esantsi is the best doctor I've ever had. I trust him with my life but his office staff is the worst I've ever dealt with. I have to call numerous times before they either call me back, call in prescriptions or send my information as requested. I'm fed up!
