Dr. Michael Elman, MD

I’m so confused by the comments concerning the staff at Dr Elman’s office. I found them to be very helpful and kind. I’ve been in pain because of a rotary cuff tear. His office was very empathetic and got me an appt in two days. Each time I’ve called they have been polite and kind.

I only saw Dr. Elman once a few weeks ago. He has great bedside manner and ordered all of the appropriate tests for my condition. Unfortunately, his office staff, particularly one woman (we'll call her Susan), is condescending and lacks any compassion. I asked Susan for my MRI results, which she didn't have - that's fine, I got them directly from Shields MRI instead. I let her know that my medical bills were becoming unmanageable at this time and would like to avoid a follow up only if it isn't necessary. Instead of requesting that the doctor contact me or attempting to work with me, Susan says "you wouldn't be able to read your results if you had them" and "there's a waitlist of patients that DO want to see Dr. Elman", then proceeded to cancel my follow up appointment. Actually, Susan, I can and did read my own MRI results, work in the medical field, and have quite a few providers in my personal social circle that will look over my MRI for free - no one asked for your opinion on that

I went to see Dr. Elman due to a hand injury at work. He was very brief with me suggesting I get an emg test for the nerves. I asked him what I should do for working and he kept on saying “I don’t know.” I went and got a second opinion from another Doctor and I was diagnosed with 6 hand and arm injuries. I learned a lesson to do my research before I see a doctor. I would not suggest Dr. Elman.

In the time of the Corona virus that we are all experiencing. Today I received 2 calls and emails reminding me of my $60 bill I owe. Class act Dr Elman! I knew you and your staff were obnoxious but this is over the top! Bad timing

Not what I expected. Disappointing. Maybe surgery is his thing. Also got the impression I was not believed and was dismissed to another suggested venue. Is it because I am a older female. Who knows. Glad others has successfully had improvements. The office staff are cold unfriendly, unprofessional

Dr. Elman did a perfect surgery on my knee. Very creative in his approach which addressed several issues in one surgery. I was suffering in pain and he completely relieved my pain immediately following the surgery. I am thrilled and will always return to his practice for any if I have any future need. Thank you Dr. Elman.

office staff is rude, office manager should not be working with the public. No professional skills at all.

Dr. Elman is a fantastic surgeon. He operated on my elderly mother's badly broken wrist and she was almost back to normal a week later. Stitches out, just a small bandage left, no cast. Simply amazing.

Had surgery on left hand carpel tunnel and I feel like I have a new thumb. There is no pain now. He did an excellent job.
