Dr. Diesenhouse took the time to know me and explained my upcoming procedure thoroughly. He is very personable and makes you feel at ease. I am very happy with the results of my first cataract surgery and anticipate the same great result with my second.

I had been ill a year on different meds. My vision had decreased by over 50% due to cataracts caused by those medications. He was thorough, compassionate and went the extra mile knowing I couldn’t see and needed help immediately. Due to my illness he took extra steps to make sure there was little chance for infection. He was awesome, my vision restored to 20/20. He was so conscientious and had s wonderful way of communicating, understandably to his patients!So grateful to him for restoring my sight with full compassion of my situation!

I chose him because the office agreed not to give me a steroid drop which I can't use. When i went for 2nd visit I waited for almost an hour to meet with him. We finally decided to leave and walked by a room where he was relaxing with his feet up! He acted like he didn't know I was his next patient and stated "well you are already here you might as well stay! I have many eye problems and there is no place to list them on the paperwork (just surgery and drug allergies) I forgot to mention them all so I called the next day to coordinator with info. She is the ONLY one I could leave a message with for him. She never called me after 4 calls to her so he never got the info and surgery was in 2 days. When I spoke to the surgery center about this they insisted I try one more call. This was never answered so I cancelled! Normally we would have told him everything but we were both upset that he either didn't know I was there OR he didn't think he should see me until he felt like it.

Knowledgeable and will share exactly what is needed for better vision and cataract removal. Happy with the results after cataract removal.

I have known Dr. Diesenhouse and this practice for many years. He is moving toward using optometrists for screening which he feels is more cost and time effective . While that may be true, I prefer a personal interface with Dr. Diesenhouse before making treatment decisions.

Dr Diesenhouse was recommended to me but when I saw this site with low reviews I was concerned. I kept my appointment and am very glad I did. He was personable, informative, and worked out a good plan for my eye care. I enjoyed my consultation and respect his professional advice. Pamela

Worst doctor ever. Waited 1hr and 45 minutes, he rushed through my appointment in less than 5 minutes. Didn't care about my issues at all. Also worst check out office staff at the la cholla location. They are so rude and do not know how to treat a patient

I kept pushing back the thought that he had a bad bed side manner but then while in surgery i remember him startling me by yelling at me telling me not to look away from the light (2) times i can understand being firm might have been needed for my safety but on my next eye surgery he stopped. by for his second to sign charts i mentioned i would do.my best not to look away from the light he stated he would try not to look away from the light also, It was surprising to me.

I thought Dr. Diesenhouse had a crummy bedside manner, he seemed like he was only concerned abut getting his copay.he seemed very rushed and to be perfectly honest he did not seemed to be concerned about assisting me with my eye problems. I felt that he was there to just pick up my copay hurry off to the next appointment. I definitely would not recommend this Dr. to anyone who needs a good eye doctor. STAY AWAY

My wife and I both made appointments for an annual eye exam. We moved in from out of state and used this website to select our opthamologist; and we settled on Dr. D. We are glad we did! He and his team were outstanding. The entire process (from appointment setting, to exam time and quality and detail of eye care to selecting our new frames lenses) was excellent. Dr. Diesenhouse restored my vision to 20/20, both eyes. The surgeries were done two weeks apart, within the last month (April/May, 2016). My right eye was a '4, or mature cataract; it was considered a complex surgery. I cannot believe how well I see now; it is like being born again. I was never 20/20 in either eye. Dr. 'D' and his staff were courteous, professional, flexible, and competent. Dr. 'D' took me from darkness to light. Don't be afraid, and don't stay in the dark.

Dr. D. is considerate, professional and responsive. He makes himself available in emergency situations and has top grade professional connections when another specialist is required. He listens well, spends time with his patients and seems to genuinely care for our well-being. His office staff is friendly, capable and professional.

My total appointment was almost 3 hours; with only 5-10 minutes with Dr. D. I was not told in advance that my eyes would be dilated, which I felt was a big error on the part of his staff..
