Dr. Michael Dempsey, MD

This doctor is old fashioned and outdated in his clinical perspective. He practices positivistic psychiatry meaning he only interprets and registers communicated symptoms and equates them to Medications that match. No clinical rapport, sits at his computer and types making no eye contact or treating a patient like a human being. He doesn’t listen to perspectives or preferences of patients and denies their perspective as part of the care he provides. Outdated perspectives on treatment and a lack of ability to understand the situatedness of a the patient and assisting in their treatment even when explicitly stated. This is a classic example of a doctor who utilizes his status as a medical doctor to destabilize and disregard patients needs and concerns; instead throwing medication at a problem rather then getting to the root of problem and treating the patient with intentions to support.
