Dr. Michael DeLuca is an extraordinary physician. I was in the hospital in 2016 with a thrombosis in my left leg (3 blood clots) and a double pulmonary embolism ( one blood clot in each lung). I had a total of 5 blood clots in my body at the same time. He inserted a filter in my Inferior Vena Cava. He was there every single day or he made sure his assistant was checking on me. Dr. DeLuca is a caring person that goes beyond his duty. When I came out of the hospital, I was still having pain in my leg and he ordered tests to continue monitoring for more blood clots. I was using oxygen 24/7. At this point of my life, I only use oxygen to sleep, but other than that, I have recovered from the blood clots. I recommend him as he continues caring for me and takes his time to discuss my needs. Amazing doctor, diligent office employees and marvelous Doctor's Assistants.

First class jerk! He has been my treating physician for about 3 years however only seen him about 3 times because I was sent to his PA. I had a very serious heart problem and my medicine was changed several times by the PA during my time in ICU. I thought since he was my treating physician that he reviewed my care and prescriptions. I was wrong. It wasn't until I went in for a 2nd procedure that the nurses at the hospital questioned my combination of medicines. That meant that he did not review my medicines when I had another procedure 45 days before. How long does it take to review your patients prescriptions prior to a procedure? When I had a follow up with him he said, "Your killing me with your questions! Just ask them to me all at once!" People say he is the best, I don't agree, he doesn't exhibit the slightest bit of patience , compassion or thoroughness. If he was thorough about my care I would overlook his rudeness, but not if he simply doesn't care.

Dr. DeLuca is an awesome physician, however, front desk is lazy & incompetent. I called for a pre-surgical EKG, was told to bring in order from physician, I did so, I showed the front desk the written order for an EKG & responded with "we'll send a clearance letter", I repeated "the order is for an EKG NOT a clearance, letter, I need to schedule for an EKG", she responded with "we'll send the clearance letter to your doctor". Prior to surgery, clearance letter was worthless and I was referred to a hospital for an EKG and now I have a bill for $300.00. I am no longer a patient of Dr. Deluca

Positive experience. He completed all of the necessary testing, but didn't trust tests done prior to my visit, so a couple of tests were redone in his office. I understand him wanting to get consistent results. Yet, it did seem redundant to repeat testing that had already recently been done ordered by my primary in order to refer. The upside....he is thorough and checks everything out. I would recommend.
