Dr. Christie was straight to the point about my knee replacement surgery. However, he was compassionate and very assuring about the outcome of my surgery. He delivered what he promised, and I am very glad that I have chosen him to perform the operation. I have no issues with my knees and recommend him and his team.

Dr Christie is excellent! I first went to him 7 years ago for a second opinion, when another doctor at another clinic was pressuring me to operate on my knees right then. I was still running marathons, and even if my knees were bone on bone, I could tolerate the pain and did not want to quit running yet. Dr Christie respected my wishes, and said he would help me keep running on my birth knees until I was ready to replace them. He gave me lubricating knee shots every few months, and braces to run in, and helped me keep running for 7 more years. I finally got to a point where I wanted to have double knee replacement surgery done on me. Only then did he do the surgery. The surgery went great, and I am recovering really well. Alas, my running days might be over now, but my new knees work so well that I am on my way to becoming a long distance walker-athlete, with my first 100 mile race coming up next September. Who says 68 year olds have to retire from challenging activities?

Dr. Christie and his group, Southern Joint Replacement Institute, are tops. They profess to be centered around patient care, and they truly “walk the talk” from the first contact through the last person you see. They take a genuine interest in their patients in addition to being renowned experts in their fields. Their work is excellent!!! Highly recommended. It was worth me driving 2 1/2 hours to Nashville to have my surgery.

I am so thankful to have found Dr. Christie. I appreciate that he is calm, professional, and caring. He has performed several surgeries on me over the years that have enabled me to continue my active life style . He has been very honest and has done exactly what he said he would do. Thanks to him , I am exercise walking and riding horses again at age 74.

I could not think of a better place to have had my knee replacements. Dr. Christie has both the experience and skill necessary and also has a great bedside manner and sense of humor. Each follow-up visit was a positive experience and each time I called and left a message it was answered within 24 hours or less. All the Southern Joint Replacement staff are professional and pleasant to speak/work with. I always felt I was in good hands and my concerns were taken seriously. Wait time is very short in meeting with nurses. Martha, and Dr Christie. Dr Christie really cares about me personally as he does with each and every patient. He takes time to listen and then offers options that are based on the best solution.
