Dr. Castro was recommended to me through Caris Life Sciences to explain the pathophysiology of my uncle’s cancer. He is very knowledgeable in the molecular biology of cancer that most oncologists are not. His treatment plans target cancer’s oncogenic pathways. He’s also extremely caring and concerned for his patients. He followed up with my uncle even though my uncle can no longer see him because of distance.

I first met Dr. Castro in Amsterdam, NY, when my husband Steve was diagnosed with Stage IV Lymphoma . If we had not met Dr. Castro, my husband's life would have been lost. Today Steve is still CA free. Dr.Castro is truly one of the Elite in his field, with his care and diligence, any patient of his has their chances of survival increase. Although he is greatly missed here in NY, we know a talent like his must be shared with the World. All the best to you Dr. Castro. Tammy H

I found the BEST Oncologist when I found Dr. Castro. When I first started seeing him I was scared and having so many symptoms regarding my recent cancer diagnoses. On my first visit with him he took the time to talk with me and made me feel that he was really there to help me. He takes the time to help me understand not only what is wrong with me but what ways I can help myself. Dr. Michael Castro is an EXCELLENT Oncologist and I am glad he is on this journey with me to help me get better.

While Dr. Michael Castro is highly intelligent and very well trained. The quality that brought me to him was his vigilance and tenacity. He fought the hospital administration to get the best and newest treatments. Additionally, he is very sympathetic and caring of his patients. Having had cancer, the fear of a recurrence is always present. I have always felt that he has been watching my back keeping up on the latest information and applying it to my care. He would be my choice again.

Dr. Castro is the best oncologist that I have ever met. His greatest asset is he really cares about his patients and takes the time to talk to them. For a professional, he is just like a brother to me, I am so comfortable talking and just telling him everything on my heart. I wish there are more doctors like him; he has such great bedside manners, caring, positive out look in life, very intelligent, always looking for future and better medical treatments. God Bless You Always Dr. Castro.

Dr. Castro was truly a blessing in my cancer journey. I have been cancer free for three years but the meds I was taking for preventative measure was not metabolizing correctly, therefore completely useless. No other doctor in the many I have had ever thought to look into that. Dr. Castro looks at your life as a whole and into your future survival, not just how you feel today. Bedside manner is the best I have ever experienced. Very clear and concise, knowledgeable beyond the standard of care.

Saved my life shrinking my tumors more than 90 percent in four chemotherapy treatments. Follow by surgery to remove 70 percent of my colon. Cancer remains on my liver and we are continue ing to shrink the tumors and arrest the growth. Best Dr I have ever met. Initial diagnosis was that I had 4 to 6 months to live. That was 20 months ago. The will to live is strong and positive thanks to Dr Castro! Highly recommend this Dr to anyone who needs personalized treatment.
