I was a patient of Dr. Caruso for 25 years and this office has declined over the years. He is "average" in our area and my eyes deserve the best care. I had a minor condition with my eye that he failed to treat completely with inadequate antibiotics, so I needed a follow-up appointment. I could see from my seat that he left another patient room with a file folder and then came in to see me, switched on the light switch and with the same dirty rubber gloves on, he started to approach my eye. I called him out on it. Not only is Covid-19 and the Delta variant on an upswing, but this was unsanitary and unprofessional. Instead of changing into new gloves or washing his hands, he told me to pull down my own eyelid. No apology from him. He never used the exam equipment and I had been given those yellow drops....for what? He charged my insurance $325 for this. I am seeking a second opinion and will not be returning here. Neither will the other 3 members of my immediate family!!!

My cataract procedures were performed by Dr. Caruso and his staff with efficiency and yet personal attention! Successful on both eyes and the experience was easy to go through!

My mother went here and was told she'd need glasses, she didn't want the glasses and they reported her to the DMV and now, at great personal expense, she has to book a driving school instructor to take her up to May's Landing to perform a Driver's test. While my mother was at fault for not taking the glasses, I feel that the Dr had the responsibility to inform her that if she refused them, he would have to report her and she might be contacted by the DMV...he never did that. Shame on them for

Had procedure that did not work for a stye. Had to do it twice after telling me that he may not had gone deep enough. Received a bill for over $7,000! Come to find out that I could had had the procedures at CRMC without cost to me and although he is across the street and has many hospital employees as clients, did not offer this to me. I feel ripped off and used. Took a while to get the bill down and ended up paying over $500. Will be going to another doctor in the future.
