I could tell from the moment I met him that he doesn't like women. He absolutely does not listen, does not ask questions and rushes through the whole process. I had very clear findings on my MRI and can barely walk. All he said was my spine looks great and to go see a neurologist because he can't help me. Like we weren't looking at the same scans. He also doesn't believe in bertolotti's syndrome, which is insane because how do you not believe in a medical diagnosis..? This man is insane. There is more but just trust me when I say, go find someone else. On my way to finding another doctor.

He came in and introduced himself and said “I don’t fill out L&I paperwork” he then proceeded to have me walk on my toes and then my heels. Told me I’m young and just needed to do yoga. Only physical assessment he did was touch myHips. He didn’t ask what symptoms I had nor did he read the paperwork I filled out regarding my symptoms. He treated me as someone who was just looking for a L&I payout. Do not recommend.

I received a referral to see this “doctor” from my PCP for back pain. I am a 30 plus year old mother of two small kids and this man treated me like I was there seeking drugs. He told me that “everyone who had fun in their 20s has back problems in their 30s,” told me my “posture sucked” (which it does… because I’m in pain) and he sent me home. Absolutely terrible that people like him have medical degrees.

Love Dr. Carpenter. He listens to everything that I have to say and explains everything I need to know. I was going to a different doctor before him and just in pain all the time. I have complete faith in him and would recommend him to anyone.

One of the worst doctors I have ever seen. Did not care that I was in pain at all. Came in almost crying in pain and he told me I was fine to go water skiing. Told me I shouldn't do physical therapy because I wouldn't stick with it. Offered me zero solutions except to exercise. I would love to do that but I am in too much pain.

Terrible doctor. Absolutely full of himself. Diagnosed (by the MRI radiologist) with “moderate to severe facet hypertrophy” and a “annual tear”. I was told by Carpenter that even though I am in extreme pain and cannot even sleep or get through my work day I should “return to work without restrictions and exercise more”. When I asked about pain medication he told me that he “didn’t believe in them” and he would not prescribe anything for the pain, not even a anti-inflammatory. He was rude and argumentative and just flat out unprofessional. If you are looking for a doctor that absolutely doesn’t care about you, I highly recommend him.

Don't waste your time seeing this man! He is extremely rude and doesn't care about his patients. Chronic back pain for over 10 years with no help or answers. He always just says he doesn't know what else he can do for you.

I was very disappointed with this MD. I have a herniated disc with neuropathy down my left side which my PCP at the time referred me to him for. He was very rude, condescending and did not want to hear anything I had to say. He said it was all weight related, and that I'm "too young for back issues" since I am only 21. He did not even offered a PT referral. I was reevaluated after losing 40 pounds and sure enough, it was not weight related, and was due to a congenital disc issue in my family.

Extremely unsatisfied with this doctor. I have back pain that has continually worsened since my car accident almost a year ago. Had an MRI that shows a bulged disc and a torn disc. A tear is the result of an acute injury, however he insisted that it was not accident related. All of it is age and weight. I'm 45. His advise: lose weight, try yoga (because it worked wonders for his mother), and consider an anti-depressant. Say what?? I had to ask for PT but now refuse to go back to Everett Clinic.

Nothing at all good to say, worst experience ever with a doctor, dissmissive, condscending and in my opinion incompetent for what he missed. He also had this weird cheeky smile like he was on uppers from thinking I was lying and was enjoying making me feel so. Awful run away.

I was sent by my doctor to a so called specialist, Carpenter. I had extreme back pain. He said I had arthritis, he sent me to a physical therapist who ,with no results sent me back to Carpenter. He became very agitated that I was questioning his diagnoses, I was in so much pain, he said arthritis can be painful, he became rude and offensive, and was asking why I came back to see him. The outcome is, I have cancer. The tumors in my back bones were growing and breaking the bones. Arthritis?
