He charged my dad money if he is not cancel appointment 24 hours ahead, but they called my dad in the afternoon of 1 day before my dad’s appointment to tell my dad that if he does not have medical records from hospital then my dad cannot see the doctor, even though my dad did made appointment one week ahead when he got discharged from USC Arcadia and San Gabriel hospital ( an almost 80 years old patient and had been this doctor’s patient for years). We live so far away from the office but they told my dad have to come sign paper so they can request medical records, and they cannot do electronic, oh come on, it is 2025 for god sake, you cannot even send a release form by electronics; a USC cardiologist, a high end office, and this doctor even an mayor of city of Arcadia but cannot send the form by text or email. Rude staffs and not fluent English, and this is the second time my dad have to go ER just because of waiting for a card act test that take weeks for appointment and keep calling my dad to reschedule for more than 3,4 times just in this year 2025 because this doctor is busy, maybe he is too busy to be a mayor. Please avoid this office for the health of your parents. PS: my dad went to 3 others specialists right after discharged from hospital and none of those office have this ridiculous request, I did file a complaint to medical board and USC Arcadia hospital

He is kind and caring!
I’m extremely honor and want to write this review to show how grateful we are and how wonderful Dr. Cao is. Recently, my father visited Dr Cao for just a normal check up. He complained abdominal discomforts, and current on some abdominal pain pills. Dr. Cao took time and asked my father questions, then he ordered an abdominal ultrasound. His office is so efficient, although he has HMO, they were able to get my father approved and book appointment the same week. Turned out, my father had a benign tumor in his gallbladder. Long story short, without Dr. Cao’s knowledge, not only in cardiology, my father would still be taking the abdominal pain without early intervention. Dr. Cao is truly amazing. He saved my father’s health! Thank you so much!!!!

Fifteen years ago, I started having major heart problems. At USC Medical Center, I was under the care of Dr Leslie Saxon and Dr Micheal Cao. I had several major operations and procedures done on me. I would not be alive if it wasnt for these two doctors. I still see Dr Cao after he went into private practice. He is very well trained and is one of the few doctors who still cares for his patients

THANK YOU, DR. CAO!!! It's difficult to put into words what this man has done for myself and family. I can't thank him enough for his continual care, attention, love, support, and patience he has offered to us. I was told by my father that Dr. Cao came highly recommended to him by his primary care doctor. This was 5+ years ago and dad has been with Dr. Cao every since. After dad was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, I began to accompany him to all of his hospital and doctor visits. Even before I even met Dr. Cao, I learned that he was already working in tandem with dad's hemotologist (blood doctor who was treating his cancer). Dr. Cao knowing dad's heart history made it known to all doctors that this patient's heart is very weak and to be conscious of this when selecting the treatment to battle this disease. I finally met Dr. Cao earlier this year and every visit since then has been so helpful and informative. (I am limited with the number of characters I can use here)

Is this the Michael Cao who was in my AP English class at Morton East High School, and who graduated in 1989 (Rm. 394, first seat, second row)? If so, I'm that teacher, Carole Cosimano. I'm currently reading The Sympathizer by Viet Thanh Nguyen. (He's also written a book of short stories, The Refugees.) Do you know this book - or have you read it? I'd be most interested in your opinion and in your experiences of leaving your home country, should you wish to share these memories. Thank you!
