Dr. Michael Bechara, MD

I was in Stafford hospital for 10 days. I am battling a very unusual condition which has intrigued many doctors. Dr Bechara was one of my doctors who stood out from them all. He read my file which is very lengthy to get to know my case. He came to check on me at least 3 times a day and explained everything in detail so I could understand. I have been battling this side effect from chemo for over 8 months and have seen a lot of doctors and I can say he was the best. He even sent a follow up email after I was discharged. I felt safe knowing he is on my case. He even gave me his card just in case I had questions after I was discharged. It's not just a job to him. He cares about all his patients and he has great bed side manner. I was In good hands

Dr. Bechara treated a friend of mine at VHC and more recently at Stafford Hospital. Both times he was so genuine, helpful, knowledgeable and kind. She has a complicated medical history and has had experimental cancer treatments. He had obviously read her extensive chart before the first visit. He treated my friend and not just the symptoms with which she presented. He listened to her, to her concerns and fears, and recommended effective treatment based on her needs. He did what he said he would do. He initiated treatment and followed through. He spoke to us clearly and plainly to ensure we understood what to expect with each treatment. When he walked in her room at Stafford, she said it was like Superman showing up just when you needed him most. Thank you, Dr. Bechara, for being the kind of doctor we all would love to have. And for helping my friend come home again. We are forever in your debt. We appreciate you more than you will ever know.

Dr. Bechara was assigned to be my primary physician during a recent stay at Virginia Hospital Center. After only a few minutes of talking with him, I knew immediately that he had read my medical record and was able to give me sound advise and recommendations. Dr. Bechara listened to what I was saying and was extremely compassionate and caring. He came back repeatedly to make sure I was doing alright and always took the time to listen . I can honestly say, he is the best doctor I have ever had. He truly cares about his patients and spends many hours working overtime to make sure all their needs are meet. Dr. Bechara would also, at my request, keep my immediate family advised as to what was going on with my illness. Dr. Bechara is truly a very special doctor. He is someone who has instilled in me the confidence that I am getting the best care possible. Thank you Dr. Bechara

Treated my father in the hospital with incredible kindness. He was very communicative and was so helpful explaining conditions and follow up care plans to my mother and I. Treated difficult conversations with care and never felt rushed. One of the best physician experiences ever (esp in the hospital).
