Dr. Mian Urfy, MD

We refer to Dr. Urfy as Dr. Death. I had a massive stroke and pulmonary embolism. After the other doctor who saved my life removed the clots from my brain and lungs, Dr. Urfy found my husband and parents to tell them my prognosis. He was going to share it with them in an open hallway and my mother asked for privacy. He brought them into a tiny room nearby. He told them there was nothing they could do for me and didn’t know if I would survive. He wasn’t compassionate and left abruptly. A few minutes later, he came in and told my distraught family they had to leave because he needed the room. This man should not be interacting with patients and relatives during life and death traumas. Thankfully, I had an amazing team of other doctors who took great care of me and ensured I survived and now thrive.
