Complaint
Va has sent 2 referral notice to Dr office and I've been told at least 4xs that they can't find. Va sent one on 8th of November and again 14th. This is ridiculous.

Dr is always canceling appointments. When you do have appointment always have a long wait. Can't reach office by phone. Office staff seem like their trying, but very disorganized. One staff doesn't speak English very good, very hard to understand. Have issues getting refills, gone as long as a month trying to get refill. When you do see Dr he's in and out so fast, seems to be all about money, how many patients he can squeeze in. If the male at desk, be prepared to get insulted or get him away from his phone (must be related )

Disorganized office
The doctor’s are fine, but the office is incredibly disorganized and more stress to work with than is worth it. I’ve been at their office for more than 3 hours, multiple times, waiting in the waiting room for more than an hour, being stuck in an exam room for a long time, them losing my scans and results, etc. I could go on, but the quality of the doctor does not make up for the stress that these appointments have caused.

As much as I liked Dr. Saludes when I first met him, his staff is awful and incompetent. Rude, lazy, late. I’ve waited over an hour with an appointment at least 3 times, canceled appointments without calling me to tell me (no, a message saying you have a “question” does not constitute as a cancelation.) He also diagnosed me with a condition I do not have and does not make sense for my condition, not sure if that was to get me into testing, but the rest of the staff keeps referring to my “asthma.” I don’t have asthma. His staff let me wait an hour and a half my last visit before letting me know I didn’t even need to be there. My last phone appointment was canceled at the last minute due to an “emergency” and no one there could read my results of my recent test results? Wheeling gets a bad reputation for health care, and sadly this office is a prime example of that. No disrespect to Dr Saludes as he seemed kind and caring, but your office staff is atrocious.

Dr.Saludes is the top pulmonologist in West Virginia and the Ohio valley area. He really does spend time with you and makes sure you get the best care. He doesn’t want to waste your time and only wants the best for his patients. His Np and partner Dr. Stan Matyasik assure the best care for all patients and are so kind. The staff has really made a big shift over the years and now has high standard of patient care. The staff really cared about helping me as soon as possible. There really is no other doctor I rather see. Thank you to their staff for being so kind and generous. Y

I believe that Dr. Saludes’s purpose is definitely in pulmonology. He is thorough, brilliant, caring and makes you feel like your health truly matters to him. Unfortunately, an offices face will be the staff of his practice. I have never been so disrespected, treated with total disregard and seen a rude staff with no accountability or care for the patients. On the clinical side, I would not even begin to consider seeing anyone else but him. After my experience with the office, I have to wonder how such an amazing doctor can have such an incompetent staff with zero compassion and negative rude attitudes. I hope that his decisions on the business side of his practice doesn’t affect the tremendous benefit patients could receive due to the failure as a team that is his staff that will most certainly make any rational human being, question if they are going to receive subpar, and that’s generous, care from a doctor who has dedicated his life to make a difference.

He is the best! He diagnosed me with a rare lung disease that other pulmonologists treated as severe asthma for 20 years. When Dr Saludes' gave me the news that eventually I would have to have a lung transplant...He didn't stand in front of me he didn't sit down in a chair across from me. Dr Saludes' sat next to me and explained something very terrifying that I was going to have to deal with for the rest of my life. His PA Sarah is just as amazing as he is. Dealing with alpha1 antitrypsin deficiency...I wouldn't want anybody but these two in my court. So what if I have to wait 30 minutes in the waiting room. They spend time with their patients. If I had to wait 6 hours for Dr Saludes' and or Sarah I would! They have been a lifesaver

While I like Dr. Saludes, I find his staff very difficult to get along with. The PA was rude to me the last time I was there, and the lady in billing threatened me when I called about a bill. Supposedly Dr. Saludes read some tests when I was in the hospital in lung distress. He did not take the time to come and see me. Why?

He comes across as brusque but decent- what I'd expect from a specialist. He does seem to listen closely to patient input. He has an NP (and I'll always respect an NP's opinion and suggestions, easily as good as an MD's) take care of less important and urgent cases- exactly as I'd expect.
