Abandoned patient
Was assigned to Dr Farland after my prior PCP retired. After being seen at the VA emergency room I had abnormal images, after talking to the nurse a message was sent to Dr Farland about the abnormal findings and my wanting an appointment to discuss my family history of cancer in connection with the radiologist report. Dr Farland instead chose to have his nurse call me and tell me that he would not make an appointment for that and to see a doctor at another clinic. Despite my contacting the Patient Advocate, I have experience this unexpected interruption in care, and have unanswered questions about further image testing or oncology and tissue biopsy. I do not want advanced cancer if it can be caught early, as I am aware of the harm cancer has done to other members of my family. However it seems that Doctor Farland is simply abandoning me as a patient, and leaving me to face the congenital risk combined with abnormal growth on my CT scan alone and without modern medicine.

Dr. Farland is the most loving and supportive doctor I have ever had through the military. I have met other family doctors that I have either liked or trusted their opinions, but Dr. Farland is the only family doctor that I met that I love and trust!
