Dr. Melissa Yeats, MD

Dr. Yeats has been by my side for over three years now. She has seen me through infertility, pregnancy loss, carrying my first pregnancy to term, delivery that baby, held our hands as he faced significant health issues and is now his pediatrician. I've never met a more compassionate, caring doctor or nurse (Kelle is a rockstar!) She always spends a significant amount of time with my husband and and I ensuring we understand everything, urges us to ask questions, never makes us feel rushed or just like another patient to get in and out the door. She's always been respectful of our decisions, if she didn't agree with them you'd never know as I don't think I've ever felt judgement or bias when speaking with her. She presents information in a very neutral and well informed manner and is so thorough. I can't say enough incredible things about our experience with her. 1000 letters in a tiny text box just isn't enough to depict the level of care she provides our family!

I have been seeing Dr Years for well over a year. She is super smart, compassionate, and an outstanding physician. She listens well and helps get to the bottom of the problem. He gives me as much time as I need and is extremely friendly! I drive all the way from KCMO to see her because I trust her and she’s so worth it! I highly recommend her!

Dr. Yeats delivered my son & she was wonderful! Throughout my pregnancy she was thorough, attentive & never made me feel rushed during prenatal visits. When I had complications towards the end of my pregnancy, I felt like my son & I were in the best hands.

I used her for my entire pregnancy and she did a great job there but when it came to taking care of my now 10 month old son it hasn't been the greatest experience. She said he needed Physical therapy since he wasn't crawling right at 9 months. She said there was nothing I could do with him at home and I proved her wrong he is crawling and getting better everyday

Unfortunately I did not have a good experience with this office. During my first appointment with Dr. Yeats, I felt incredibly rushed talking to her about my medical history, and she kept looking down at her watch like she had somewhere to be. She then encouraged me to get the Gardisil shot, even though I am married and made statements like “it’s a good idea in case your husband dies or you get divorced.” I just don’t think that’s appropriate for a doctor to be saying that. The worst of it happened after my appointment. I thought I was seeing her for a physical, but we were charged $175 for the visit. Apparently because I brought up medication that I am already seeing a psychiatrist for and that she did not prescribe herself, they coded it as a psychiatric office visit. This just doesn’t seem right to me, and they are most definitely taking advantage of us. We tried calling them to get it reversed but they are not listening. Needless to say I will not be coming back to this practice.

I have so much regret for not switching doctors earlier. For 9 months my prenatal visits felt like I was going into a fight. I had a lot more natural preferences for pregnancy/labor/delivery that she scoffed at. Whenever I raised a question or concern about something, like artificial induction or vaccines during pregnancy, I was met with contempt and condescension. She made me feel stupid and like I should just do what I’m told. Also terrible bedside manner. After disclosing in WRITING months before that I refuse the HepB + vit. K shots, she came in and lectured me while I was 20+ hours into labor about the vit. k shot. She stood at a safe distance, pausing between my contractions and vomiting, so I could hear every word of her condescending tone. She said she’ll come back after my hubs and I "discuss," I guess after we learned our lesson and decided to be good little parents. I said screw it and gave in because I wanted her to just leave me alone. Never again

She does a great job. Love taking my kids to see her.

My whole family goes to Dr Yeats. We feel like she cares about our health and always does the best she can to answer all our concerns and help us in any way she can.

I love the time she gives to her patients. She is very thorough and explains all options so I feel like I can make an intend decision. Her nurse is the sweetest! It’s getting difficult to get in quickly, but people who do a good job usually are.

I had to curse her out in order for her to do the proper testing on me. Once she found out that I was dealing with depression she wanted to contribute everything to that because it was easy. I fired her
