Unprofessional
Wait times are horrible. I had an appointment for 1:00 pm, She seen everyone scheduled after me until I was last. Needless to say I didn't get out until 5:35 pm and she did nothing for me.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER WITH A DOCTOR
Appointments take ALL DAY and it is always HOURS past your appointment time before seeing Dr. Terchek. She is very nice and compassionate. However, she is always scattered in her thoughts, her words and her treatment plans. She’s talks about other patient’s files for 3/4 of the times when I’m in the office and apologizes profusely every visit about the problems and insufficiencies with her office and nursing staff. This happens on all the visits I go to. She rambles about things that have nothing to do with me. Every time I have gone to see her and she has prescribed medication, it has taken over a week to get prescriptions sent to pharmacy although she always says she does it after my appointment. In this case, it's almost 2 weeks and despite numerous calls and messages to her office, I am still waiting for the prescriptions to be sent to the pharmacy. Don't get me started on her nurse... Bottom line... if you have another option, take it. Don't see Dr. Terchek!

She’s talks about other patient’s files for 3/4 of the times I’m in the office and that’s after waiting 3-4 hours past my appointment time waiting to be seen. This happens on all the visits I go to. Another thing, she never remember to review my last labs unless I ask about it and when I call the office neither her or her assistant returns your calls.

I was referred to Dr Lee in this office in January of this year. I had to accept I would not get in with her until July. But I would be able to see Dr Tercheck on the 19th, i went for my appointment; after waiting 40 minutes I checked in at the window to see if she was running behind. I was informed she was running behind. I asked how far! She was just seeing her 9:00 appointment and it was almost noon; she indicated it would be a minimum of two more hours. I canceled my appointment and informed them I would not be back. Let me further explain I had been seeing Dr David Snow in Leland. I was always treated with respect and my appointments were always on time or within a few minutes. I chose to change due to the distance. However, I’m willing to make the drive knowing I can count on my doctor. My PA there, Cara Bailey is awesome. I will see her on Monday 4/26.

Both visits 4-5 hours. Still no answers or diagnosis. Absolutely ridiculous. Couldn’t give me any clear explanations. Not sure what is going on there, but I will be finding another doctor. Never visited and office like this.

Dr Terchek is great at what she does. Her Myrtle beach staff is awful. After you sign in they put you on the “pay no mind list”. Expect to wait hours after your scheduled visit time.

Dr. Terchek I am very fond of however both offices she works for I give 1 star. This is about the staff since they are not at all supportive of her, don't help her & she is like a 1 person team. Too many times because things are done even before she sees a patient, she must do it all. If staff took care of their part prior the visits with her wouldn't be as long, regardless of her caring so much that she does take extra time. My visits are almost always interrupted but when I have a problem the staff hasn't been very helpful. The Myrtle Beach location isn't as bad with staff but Murrell's Inlet were horrible rude, uncaring & disrespectful. She really needs an office that will support her!

She’s a great doctor. She helped me a lot. But, first visit was 1 hour late. Second visit 1.5 hours late, I couldn’t wait any longer. I complained and the staff was very nice about it and did say time management was an issue.

Dr Melissa Terchek is a Wonderful, Caring, Compassionate Doctor, who will spend all the time in the world with you if you need it! I have sat in the waiting room and listened to people complain about the time - I in turn put my two cents in stating that, yes you might have a long wait, but when she gets you back there she spends just the same amount of time with you! Most people that see a rheumatologist have more then one issue going on, so most of us are not easy 1-2-3 out of there patients!

If I could give her a -0 I would. Have been to her many times with a wait time of NO LESS than three house and have waited over four hours to see her. She's the absolute most unprofessional Dr I've ever seen. Never have had a phone call returned from this office and went MONTHS without prescriptions because of this. Cares nothing about the comfort of her patients and cares less they are stuck sitting in wait for hours. Shouldn't be a Dr. Period. A disgrace to the profession! *** BEWARE***

Today I had an appt with her at 11:30 am and finally saw her at 2:10 pm. The first thing she said after looking at the routing sheet on my chart was - "This is not my routing sheet. Where is mine?" How was I to know that??? I told her I was VERY unhappy with today's wait, it is totally unacceptable and if I was here on a full-time basis, there is no way I would EVER return to that office. She seems to be a good Dr, but her timeliness and that of her office staff is deplorable.

Dr. Terchek had disability paperwork to complete for my yearly review. After 5 weeks she has not completed it. She has problems refilling medications took 3 weeks. Her affect is one of giggly and complaining. She makes her problems your problems. She does not pay attention to concerns nor do her exams address problems. Takes a two hour wait to see her but few if any patients in waiting room. I would not recommend her at all.
