Treatment for Lichen Planus
Dr. Knuckles is an experienced doctor with excellent 'bedside manner' and is both passionate about her work and compassionate for her patients. She has treated myself and another family member for Lichen Planus, an auto immune disease. I would highly recommend her.

Wait 3 hours for a 3 minutes of the doctor’s time
This office is all about waiting. Wait months for an appointment, wait hours at the the appointment, wait for follow-up phone calls that never come. Rude and uncaring staff. The Richmond waiting room has old padded church pews where everyone waits packed together (HELLO COVID and FLU!!) with stacks of decades old magazines and walls covered in advertisements for Dr Knuckles and her husband (Dr Barton) elective procedures. They over book patients because patients tolerate it. Everyone in the waiting room had similar stories of waiting, no follow through, etc. I saw her twice; walked out on the third appointment after waiting from 3:00 to 5:00. The total 3 minutes I actually spent with her, she basically looked at my ezcema on my hands and then critiqued my face (not my issue). She never stopped talking and saying “what else?”. I am 59, lived in NYC and can honestly say I have never had such an outrageous disrespectful interaction with a physician and office.

She's amazing
First thing to know is there is a long........................... wait time at your visit. Know this in advance. The reason is, she will spend a lot of time with you. She will look EVERYWHERE and I mean EVERYWHERE on your body. She has looked in places I never had any dermatologist look and I love that. Cancer does form in those places. I tried to go to someone else when I was in Florida and he never even had me take my clothes off. He told me to have my husband look in those places for me!!! What!!! I was flying back to Kentucky to see Dr. Knuckles. You will be in excellent hands with her.

How does a dr do a biopsy and never place a label on it and send it out by ups in a drop box? Now the biopsies are lost due to neglect of dr knuckles office. More biopsies today and waiting again for results. The dr stated she had lost sleep due to this then doesn't understand why the patient is crying! REALLY!!! SO UNPROFESSIONAL AT DR KNUCKLES OFFICE!!!!

Dr. Knuckles is an excellent physician. However, you should expect a wait time of 2- 4 hours, no matter what time your appointment is - even early morning. She schedules 8-10 patients at the same time for her convenience. Your time means nothing to her. Her assistant, Valerie, can be rude and disrespectful. It depends on what mood you catch her in. I am not exaggerating about the wait time. This office has a well-established reputation for having zero respect for clients’ wait time. They are narcissistic and disdainful of patients, whom they regard as “the underlings”

I have been going here for a year and a half. Dr. Knuckles is super nice and willing to help you in anyway. The problem is the rest of the staff. They are absolutely clueless about what is going on. They can be rude at times, you can sit in the waiting room and hear the fighting and gossiping. Then the wait times, I have literally waited up to 4 hours to see the Dr. I think if she got a better staff that was on top of their game it would be a great place to go.

Staff was unorganized and rude. When I arrived I stood at the window waiting to sign in for over five minutes. The nurse walked up and said with a frown on her face, “What do you want?” I waited an hour and a half to see the doctor. Dr. seemed knowledgeable but was condescending. Couldn’t wait to be done and out of the office. Will not go back.

Dr. Knuckles is the rudest doctor I have ever spoken to. My wife visited her office and when we received the bill we asked if we could set up a payment plan. Dr. Knuckles responded by implying we were bums and telling me that "she wasn't running a charity." Her tone and words were so bad she actually made my wife cry. All because we simply asked about a payment plan. I'd recommend to everyone that you go to a different doctor as this one is severely lacking in compassion and decency.

Rude and clueless. If you have an appointment make sure to pack a lunch because you'll be in the waiting room for 3 hours or more while the staff makes inappropriate comments about people and current events.

I've only been to the Corbin office. The wait time is 2-4 hrs. Other patients were complaining of their wait, asking if they'd been forgotten. Waiting room has church pews & u are nearly stacked on 1 another. U must pay for all services up front. If she does an unexpected procedure while you are being seen (suspicious areas removed/biopsies/etc) u are expected to pay that addt'l copay before u leave. She seems experienced but talks so fast that it is difficult retain anything said.
