Dr. Melissa Hurd, MD

I’m always very impressed that Dr. Hurd gives you plenty of time to get your concerns and questions answered. She never seems rushed and makes you feel very comfortable. Her staff is also very helpful and kind. If you are due to have blood work or some other test, they will actually follow up with you to make sure you’re planning to get it done, if they have yet to receive results. This is unheard of in my experience. My husband is very happy with her as well. She does not overbook herself like most doctors today. A very calm, pleasant office overall. Highly recommend her.

My mother has been seeing Dr. Hurd for years. She kind and caring. She listens to the patient's concerns. A couple of times my mother was the last patient and Dr. Hurd didn't rush her out the door. She was very thorough and even stayed past office hours.

Dr Hurd is a wonderful Dr. She listens and gives you advise as well as how to control weight and other medical needs. The staff is amazing always helping me with any questions. They all know me by first name basis. Wait time is less than 15 minutes. Highly recommend. She is never in a hurry, to leave, she will stay and listen to everything you have to stay and give you her input.

Awful. Just, awful. I was racially profiled by both Drs., though I had lots of paperwork, full over many various health conditions. I was paternalistically treated and spoken. Staff member yelled at me over the phone by office manager, after repeatedly pointing out (1) that my questions were not answered, (2) she refused to honor my request for a return call from Dr. Hurd, (3) taking it upon herself to research areas beyond her scope of expertise. I would not recommend to my worst enemy.
