Dr. Melissa Cain, MD

VERY confrontational, talked down on me and even accused me of “not paying attention” because of how disgusted I was with her behavior.

I have had Dr. Cain as my direct primary care doctor for about a year now. I am very happy with my interactions with her. There have been times she has kept me honest in my own care—but it was done in a good way. Highly recommend!Andy S

Definitely do not recommend. She doesn't seem to know very much. I, the patient, had to explain in detail about several things pertaining to major organs. She comes off as very judgemental, lacks empathy, & can be quite rude. A lit of the time she seems very uninterested in what patients have to say; our opinion, thoughts, & concerns are irrelevant to her cuz she knows better as shes smarter cuz shes the doctor - that's exactly how she acts! Some things she said, came off as stereotypical assumption. Sorry but def not my cup of tea.

Lacked empathy, very confrontational, does not listen to her patients, and was unprofessional. She gave me an adverse effect from medication.

Doctor Cain has helped me so much the last couple of months. You can tell by her actions how much she cares for her patients. Unlike most doctor she will talk to you for as long as you need. The first time I met her I was with her an hour and a half. I’m grateful she is in our community.

Visited with severe pain from a pinched nerve that caused me to lose over 75% strength in my left arm and she treated me like a junkie looking for a quick fix on pain medication. I rarely visit the doctor for anything more than a yearly check up. I am still in disbelief that a licensed physician would treat someone in this manner.

Dr. Cain is one of the finest doctors I have ever been to. It had been years since my last doctor’s visit for a general check up. Dr. Cain alleviated my nervousness with her calm and understanding demeanor. My appointments never felt rushed and she took the time to listen and discuss my concerns about the medication she was prescribing without making me feel dumb for asking questions. I recommended Dr. Cain to all my family and friends!

We have seen Dr Cain for years as a Primary Care doctor for our entire family. She has always been thorough and has gone above and beyond. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a quality PC.

I just saw Dr. Cain at urgent care for kidney stones. She did a great job of making sure I understood what was going on and my options. Her bedside manor was great.

Have seen her twice. Awesome bedside manner, talked about the problem, explained everything, very helpful.

Dr Cain was a very good listener and attentive to all my questions. She also took her time talking with me about my condition. Dr. Cain was so very pleasant and up beat during my visit in these trying times. She is such a good person with great bed side manner. I'm looking forward to my next visit. Thank you again Doc!

Was in a lot of discomfort from travelers diarrhea. Dr. Cain sat down, listened to my pain description,relay some travelers info that I was not aware of, and then prescribed an antibiotic to help me over my issues. What more could you ask for. Great "bedside " manor, very genuine person. Would return to her with no second thoughts.

Saw her a few times. Each time given drugs that didnt work. Still have all the issues i originally started seeing her for. Very cocky, disrespectful, talks to you like you are stupid. You should seek medical attention from another doctor.

I went in for a twenty year neck problem, heartburn and I believed I had something in my ear ( infection, perhaps ). She got mad at me and made me feel stupid and treated me as such, because I had forgotten a surgery I had had, first off. Secondly, I asked if there may be something I could take for my heartburn, she suggested a med, I uses it until gone, came back to tell her it did not work at all, thinking I may get a different prescription, with an oh sorry , I was sent on my way, continued

I was sick with diarrhea and bad stomach pain so I went to her on a Thursday, she said to come back Monday if I wasn't feeling better, during the weekend it got worse so I went back Monday and all she did was sent me home to get a fecal sample. I was never told it would take 3 days to get the results back and ended up going to the hospital where they actually took me seriously and helped. I ended up having a digestive condition that could have required surgery if I waited much longer.
