Was seen by a student audiologist first, given a hearing test and then told there was nothing they could do. Dr. examined me less than 30 seconds.

Wrong diagnosis
My PC tried to get my husband in to all the other ENT’s before they finally had to settle for DR Smith. She is the only one we could get into for over a month, if that says anything. The office staff was super rude. One didn’t even look up when we were trying to check in. She turned out to be a nurse assistant that took my husbands vitals without even introducing herself. It was actually kinda funny! I’m actually ok with rude office staff if the Dr is good, but Dr Smith was not, she diagnosed my husband with the wrong condition after spending about 2 minutes asking questions. Luckily though, a friend of mine got us in to see DR. Graves Hernsberger who was AWESOME!!! He spent time with his examination and diagnosed my husband correctly. It turned out that what Dr Smith was telling us to do was actually preventing my husband from getting better!! I have asked other Drs about Dr Smith and they kinda chuckle and say that they already know how bad she is

Very Professional Staff
Had a very different experience than what the one star reviews had to report about their visit to Dr Smith and staff . She, along with her new audiologist Dr. Chris Engelkes were extremely professional in their treatment. They attentively listen to my concerns and proceeded with their diagnosis, which included various testing . They did not rush their actions nor seemed to not give me adequate time . Very thorough. Was originally sceptical about my initial visit because of several one star reviews. In retrospect, I'm so glad I discounted them. I did have to wait a long time to arrange an appointment; sometimes this is an indication that they are in demand. In my case she had an audiologist not return after a pregnancy. Happening a lot since Covid. The receptionist was great and said they would look into their APPaient app that I gave a 1 star review to due to its difficulty. The assistant was also very caring. Good comfortable and professionally equipped facility. Couldn't be more sti.

ENT visit with Dr. Smith
From the time I arrived at Dr. Melanie Smith's office until I was finished, I received nothing but the utmost care and she was so open minded on everything we discussed and tests that were given. I would highly recommend Dr. Melanie Smith for any Ear, Nose and Throat problems

Saw Dr. Smith for dizziness. Diagnostic test seem to confirm BPPV. Was given a hearing test, which had nothing to do with my symptoms, but is covered by Medicare. Dr. Smith spoke to me for about 5 minutes, most of which was trying to sell me hearing aids. Returned the following day for an Epley maneuver performed by the audiologist, and designed to alleviate the BPPV. Was to call in one week to report results. I told the staff that the dizziness was somewhat abated, but still there. Never heard back from the doctor or audiologist. Called again about 2 weeks later and was told one would call me back. Never heard back from either. I guess they figured they got all from Medicare they were going to get.

Would not recommend this doctor. Well her office help sucks. They have had two month to get my daughter surgery approved and waited the Friday before to send the paperwork. The office called the day before the surgery at 5:00 pm to tell us it was cancelled. My daughter had taken off work for two weeks for this surgery.

Felt rushed with the doctor. She moves fast. My ear problem still not resolved. She’s the 3rd ENT. I will give her another shot. The staff was pleasant & very little wait time. Just a stopped up ear.

I would not recommend this office, The Dr. will do a procedure, without telling you if the procedure is covered under your insurance or not. Then you get this big bill for something just took 3 mins. to do. It's all about the money.

I've seen Dr. Melanie Smith on several occasions beginning in 2004. She performed surgery back then that went so well my recovery time was half that of what was expected. I saw her again 2017. She is and has always been very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. She has been spot on in her diagnosis of me. I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else unless she referred me out herself. I highly recommend her!!!!

Neither professional nor thorough. Had to ask her to look at my throat! She came across as rude & insulting not only to me but towards my doctor who referred me to her. She also rushed through the appointment blowing off any concerns/questions I had. I definitely won't be back to her practice if I need an ENT in the future. I read other reviews and thought it would be a good experience but that was not the case. Insulting my doctor for sending me/concerns was very unprofessional & unacceptable.
