Dr. Melanie Nathan, MD

I had laparoscopic surgery on Wednesday February 26. Dr Nathan was my surgeon. I thought that my incision was affected from the surgery. So I had called my doctors to see if I can get appointment with Dr Nathan so I had told them what was going on and so they looked at her schedule and put me in on Wednesday March 5 which was today. Because my post op appointment with Dr Nathan isn't until Wednesday March 18. So she had examined the area where my incision is. When Dr Nathan was examine me she did push too hard because my stomach is still sore and swollen from the surgery. So looked at my incision and told me that it wasn't infected. She said my recovery time is going to be longer than we had expected. I would definitely recommend Dr Nathan to my family and friends. Dr Nathan is a very good gynecologist doctor.

The simple truth is that Melanie Nathan MD SAVED MY LIFE by agreeing to see me in person for what I was convinced was a simple, previously experienced UTI but was correctly diagnosed as a rare endometrial uterine carcinoma-sarcoma with a mixed Mullerian tumor that had invaded 20 mm of my 22mm myometrium. Dr. Nathan immediately performed an endometrial biopsy and very calmly in a positive, assuring way recommended that I see Dr. Whitfield Growdon at MGH Boston , a world renowned gynecological surgical oncologist. Dr. Nathan took care of arranging EVERYTHING.. all the ultrasounds, blood tests; Cat scans; MRI’S; PET scans; hysteroscopy on 3/17/21 and proficiently coordinated everything with Dr. Growdon so he could perform a radical hysterectomy as quick as 4/7/21 before the cancer had eaten through the whole uterus. Dr. Nathan’s intelligence, intuitiveness, compassion and empathy for her patients should not be understated. SHE SAVED MY LIFE! =TRUTH!

I would most definitely recommend all my friends and family to see Dr. Nathan. She's an awesome doctor and genuinely cares about her patients. Great experience!
