Absolutely amazing
Dr. Barron is beyond knowledgeable and truly cares. She listens intently, explains everything perfectly, and gives the opportunity to ask as many questions as needed. I’ve seen her regularly for many years and the quality of care is always top-tier. She coordinates with all of my other specialists. She educates me about my conditions and medications and she happily includes me in decisions about my treatments. I really appreciate feeling included and it’s known to improve treatment outcomes! I feel informed and hopeful after every appointment with Dr. Barron. She can look at a million symptoms of overlapping disorders and know exactly how to sort them out to treat everything. She’s brilliant and her critical thinking skills are phenomenal. I rarely trust doctors, but I whole-heartedly trust Dr. Barron 10000%. Best rheumatologist ever. Best physician ever. She gave me hope when I had none. I’m forever grateful for this amazing doctor.

Do not waste your time with this Doctor.
Dr. Barron is a disgrace to her profession. I was referred to her by my PMC with PMR. She only does teleconferences and has no staff. I depended on her to provide a prescription and she ignored me for a week. I have informed by PMC and am seeking care elsewhere. She will ignore you and she has no concern for your well being, Don’t just take my word for it. Read the rviews. They all state the same behavior. I am reporting her to the Texas Board.

Everything started out fine. I never got to see Dr. Barron in person because she has "long Covid," but didn't mind because she took my insurance and seemed okay. She ordered a bunch of tests and was even available to me over text which was very helpful, especially during a particularly frustrating trip to a bloodwork place with inept staff. I got the results, she reviewed them all with me on the phone and prescribed me something she hoped would help. Note: I'm dealing with a slew of medical issues and keep getting punted from doctor to doctor to try to patch together some answers, so I was very grateful for how invested Dr. Barron seemed. Then, everything just STOPPED. She’d referred me to an endocrinologist and said her office would send over all my info/bloodwork along with her referral, then the endocrinologist's office would reach out to me to schedule an appointment in 3-5 business days. Time is of the essence not only because I wasn’t well and it was negatively affecting my day-to-day, but also because endocrinologists in DFW are often booked 6-9 months out. When I didn't hear anything from the endocrinologist after weeks passed, I called them and they said they never heard anything from Dr. Barron's office about me. Frustrating, but these things happen. I called Dr. Barron's "office" and got a friendly but unconcerned assistant named Laveda. She kind of laughed it off as a "whoopsie!" and told me she needed to follow up with Dr. Barron to get that referral over. No problem. Two weeks passed, and still nothing. I followed up with Laveda, and she said the same thing to me. I thought this was weird, and texted Dr. Barron for help. I got no reply. More time passed, and I followed up a third time with Laveda. At this point, I reminded her of the severity of my poor health day in and day out while waiting for her to "talk to Dr. Barron.” When STILL nothing happened, I texted Dr. Barron literally begging for her to help me, and NOTHING. Fortunately, I was able to get a referral from a different doctor to another endocrinologist, but all of this fiasco set me back months, all while being unwell, because of Dr. Barron's negligence. I have not heard a single thing back from her or her “office,” and there is no excuse. She put me on RX and wasn’t even available to follow up on that, which is plain dangerous. Completely baffling and neglectful, and I will pursue every way possible to report her medically. Fortunately, I kept a log.

Very kind but unreliable and unresponsive
Husband has been seeing Dr. Barron for a few months now, and we haven’t been very impressed at all. When she is available she is a good doctor, however, she has disappeared for months at a time with zero contact in the middle of trying to figure out what was happening with my husband. She also is terrible at getting medications and referrals sent in. The soonest we have been able to get a prescription for a very necessary medication was 2 weeks. There are still no referrals to other specialists and it’s been months. It’s so frustrating. I do not recommend Dr. Barron if you want a reliable doctor.

I had 1 visit and 1st impressions were great. She was smart, answered all my questions, and she was polite. I had testing done and was scheduled to return in 3 weeks. COVID started and my appt. was canceled 3 days prior, but they said they would try and schedule a teledoc appt. so I could get my test results. I never heard back and I started calling them back end of May when everything started opening back up. I have called and left SIX messages with no response. I finally got my other doctor involved to at least try and get my test results and they also have had 0 luck. I now have to not only find a new rheumatologist, but have to redo all testing that my insurance and myself have already paid for. VERY UNPROFESSIONA! And the fact that my test results are no where to be found makes me extremely uncomfortable. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

Hard time getting them to fill prescriptions. She cancelled 2 appointment and couldn't get rescheduled because she is leaving. Several attempts for appointments and never a call back.

A bit difficult to get first appointment. Time with doc very limited. I do believe she is very knowledgeable. Office is very responsive when I call. There are simply not enough rheumatologists in our community to meet the needs of our aging population.
