Dr. Mei-Tsuey Hwang, MD

I had been waiting 5 months to finally see her. I did my blood tests as requested by the office; one week prior to the appointment. My appointment was 3:30 pm; I never dreamed that it would be 5:30pm before I was in a room. At 5:45 I began to get shacky due to my heart failure issues; since they were still not sure when I would see the doctor I decided to go home. They told me at the check-out desk that the doctor would for sure call me that evening. There were no apologies or explanations given; I waited up well past my bedtime, assured that I would get to speak to the doctor on the phone. The phone call never came, so I left a message for the Dr. to call me back the following day. The next day I received a call explaining that the Dr. would for sure call me in the afternoon, but they were not willing to give me a specific time. So, I made my self-available from 3:30pm to 8:30pm. I have received no calls from the Dr. or the office, not even an apology for the inconvenience.

Over an hour wait times

Dr Hwang has been my Nephrologist for over 7 years. She has been consistently thorough, extremely professional and spends a great deal of time with me as her patient. Dr Hwang has consulted with and developed my treatment with my other specialists. Although extremely busy, Dr Hwang continues to demonstrate professional compassion in addition to her excellent medical treatment.

Dr Hwang is one of the best doctors I have visited in the last 20yrs. She is interested in the whole patient. She listens carefully and is not one to just rush patients thru. I feel fortunate to have found her.
