Dr. Mehul Patel, MD

Dr. Mehul Patel, is nothing less than amazing! His ability to talk to me in layman's terms explaining every test and procedure. Your eyes are very important and Dr. Patel takes it very seriously. Before my cataract surgery and lense implant 'I saw a tree's canopy, today I can see the leaves in the canopy' I no longer require glasses to read my phone or to drive. It had gotten to the point where I had a hard time seeing at night while driving with glasses. Now I drive at night without any hesitation.

Dr is fantastic. Tried to change an appointment. Office staff refused to take a message. They offered an appointment in April. My original appointment was January 29 at 2. I wanted to shift to any time earlier that day or the next two weeks. They offered late April. This is unacceptable. Please call me Dr. Patel.

Paid $4000.00 extra for special lenses so I wouldn't have to wear glasses. Apparently a mistake was made with lenses and vision after surgery was worse than before. Has not acknowledged mistake. He gave me a prescription for glasses without explaining why I need glasses now and not before surgery. He is arrogant and dismissive of my concerns

We decided to treat with Dr. Patel upon his arrival at UCF Health. We found him to be very personable and caring. Dr. Patel placed us at easy, taking time to answer all our questions. My wife recently had cataract surgery and Dr. Patel could not have been more accommodating from the surgery to the follow up care. Thank you Dr. Patel!

I recently had cataract surgery on both eyes and could not be more pleased with how the surgery went. Both my cataracts were a bit unusual which gave me concern. Dr. Patel was great in explaining everything and believe me I asked lots of questions. I never felt rushed during my appointments, and Dr. Patel answered my questions in terms I could understand. The entire office staff was wonderful and very respectful. My phone calls and emails were answered promptly. Dr. Patel called me at home the day before surgery and then again after the surgery. I have never had a doctor do that before. It was comforting and reassuring. He is a very knowledgeable and caring surgeon that wants the very best outcome for his patients.

Dr Patel and his staff is amazing. I had Cataract surgery on both eyes and can't believe the difference. I don't need glasses at 78 years old. The attention and kindness from Dr. Patel is well appreciated. The operation facility is well run and excellent attention for all needs. Everything was explained so I could understand it. Bottom line: this whole experience is fantastic. I would advise anyone to go to Dr Patel.

I am an 88 year old male, who had cataracts on both eyes. Dr. Patel explained that cataract surgery at my age has risks that are higher than at a younger age. In spite of this challenge, he agreed to take me on, and I am happy that he did. He recommended laser surgery. The surgeries were done two weeks apart at the Orlando Ophthalmology Surgery Center. The procedures included the removal of cataracts and appropriate lens implants. Both eye surgeries were completed flawlessly, with great precision and care. There were no complications during, or after the surgeries. My eye sight is near perfect, as of about two months past the surgeries. I can highly recommend Dr. Patel for his skills. His friendly personality makes any contact with him a real pleasure for patients and others.

He explains extremely well to me the cataract removal surgery before the procedure. The day of the surgery he goes to your bed to great you, and he makes sure what it is the side of the surgery he will be doing by signing the sticker over the eyebrow that was previously put on by the nurse. The post surgical care it is very personal. Dr. Patel explains to you the post surgery findings and gives to you a chart for the eye drops timing for next weeks, His staff is very professional caring as their boss. I was recommended to Dr. Mehul Patel by my brother. I was received at the office with the most professional customer service. He did many tests and discovered I had cataracts. He was very detailed in explaining to me who the procedure was all about and made me feel confident about my decision. I went to my first surgery, right eye and everything went perfect. The Dr itself called me before and after the surgery to make sure I was doing well. Two weeks later I went for my second eye, and everything went perfectly as well. I do recommend this doctor as he is very knowledgeable and professional at all, times. He takes his time to make sure you have all your questions answered.

Dr. Patel is definitely five star +++. He takes his time and explains everything in a manor that you can understand. He even goes so far as to give you his personal cell number with instructions to call him day or night if you have problems or questions. I recommend him Highly!!

Dr. Mehul Pate of UCF Health is a great doctor. He performed cataract surgery on both of my eyes. He is very knowledgeable, very friendly, listens, answers all questions in a easy way to understand. FABULOUS doctor. Professional, precise, accurate!!! I had a cataract removed from each of my eyes. Dr. Patel explained everything to me prior to the first surgery. When I arrived at the surgery center, everything went according to a precise process, again everything explained, and everything was on time. I recommend Dr. Patel to anyone. Also, the only way I found out I hat cataracts was by being pro-active with my health.
