Dr Desai didn’t seem particularly interested in my case and offered a range of options without discussing them throughly

Excellent
I was referred to Dr. Desai to try and help me with the extreme pain Ive had in my back for over 21 months. Ive had a Medtronics pump since 2002, Im having an issue with the catheter hurting in my back, Im being told there's nothing wrong with it. Then why do I hurt so bad the pump works great, why take it out then I have to go back on oral meds and be miserable? So I found Dr. Desai came in the room sat down on the exam table at talked like he's know me for ever. I just want the pain to stop, I explained everything to him and he is going to try and help me stop hurting. No guarantee it will work but it's worth a try! Everyone in the office was extremely nice and helpful always wanting to listen to you and not tell you that there shouldn't be nothing wrong. I am extremely thank full he is going to help me, I haven't been able to hold my granddaughter in almost a year because it hurts so bad. Hopefully I'l be able to hold and hug her like a grandparent should be able to do.

I had an unfortunate experience with Dr. Desai’s clinic. I went to him on August 17 because I was suffering severe lower back pain. My first impression of his office was favorable. It was, as you would expect an upper end K Street physician’s office, clean and modern. At this first visit he examined me, gave me a prescription for a muscle relaxant, and we set an appointment to come back in two weeks for a spinal injection to alleviate the pain. My problems started soon after this first visit. A day or two later I called the office to get something more effective to reduce the pain. I never received an answer for this request. On September the 1st I returned to his office for the procedure. I did not raise the issue of the prescription for pain because I thought it would be moot after the procedure. The injection, while painless left me unable to walk and I had to leave the clinic in a wheelchair. The paralysis was temporary, and I was able to walk (with pain) a few hours later. I un

In May 2018 I went Dr. Desai through recommendation by s close friend. At t he time I was in pain and had trouble walking. Other doctors felt my problem was my spine. After through evaluation Dr Freak felt the issue was my right hip. Initially I had steroid shot to the right hip but only helped for a week. Dr. Desai at this point recommended I go to Dr. Fitness to consider a hip replacement. On September 10, 2018 I had right hip replacement surgery. It has been over a year and I am back to doing my normal activities, golf, hiking, ect. Needless to say I average 20-25 miles a week and am doing great. I highly recommend Dr. Desia.

I consulted with Dr. Desai for recurring severe hip pain that extended into my legs. On my first visit I classified my pain level to be a 10. After following his advice, my pain level diminished to a "3" a mere 24 hours later, and by the next day, I had no pain at all. Although the root of the problem will require more imaging and physical therapy to restore my lifestyle to the optimal level I desire, I can now function without pain during the process. Not only is Dr. Desai himself a competent p

When I consulted with dr. Desai, I received advice that went against some of my health conditions, I heard more about medication and surgery and very little about physical therapy including craniosacral therapy and myofascial releas- which has helped a lot. In talking with him I got the sense he had preconceived ideas about what would help with very little understanding of my specific situation. With pudendal nerve issues, there is no one solution and expert physical therapy can be very helpful.

Dr. Desai is a total gem. Not only is he incredibly knowledgeable, but he has an amazing bedside manner. When someone is in pain, having a doctor who truly cares, can make you laugh, AND knows his stuff is not just a blessing...it’s a miracle!

I visited Dr. Desai in July 2017. The 1st visit went well except that he prescribed me ointment to reduce a pain which I don't have. The drug has huge side effects and I explained my concern to him in my 2nd visit 5 days later to review X-ray results. He said that he didn't order me tablets which are far more riskier than the ointment and didn't try to give more explanation. Moreover, the 2nd visit which lasted about 1 minute was unnecessary and for which he claimed $319.

Dr. Desai has given me cortisone injections directly into my inflamed shoulder bursa twice, and each time I have relief from pain for months afterwards. I felt comfortable that he was very careful and experienced.

After having surgery for Mortons neuroma and recurring neuromas, I saw several podiatrists before I found out about a procedure called ablation to zap the neuromas without surgery. I was lucky to discover Dr. Desai and I am delighted with the results. He is very thoughtful and caring in addition to being an excellent doctor. In addition to the neuromas, I have metatarsalgia and Dr. Desai recommended an excellent PT to reconfigure my orthotics. I definitely recommend them both.

I see Dr. Desai for pudendal nerve blocks. My husband and I fly out from Los Angeles, which is where we live, to have Dr. Desai do them because we cant find anyone in LA who can do them as well as he can ( we've tried others) and no one else compares. Dr. Desai's staff is professional and warm and his office is new and large with my blocks being done in a surgical style setting not a crammed dr.'s office as so many dr.'s seem to be moving towards these days. He is the best! Highly recommend!
