Dr. Meghann Kaiser, MD

She was the initial trauma surgeon that helped help my life on Jan 2,2024 when I came in from a near fatal car accident. I couldn’t be more grateful.

Dr. Kaiser has awful bedside manner. My mother was in a MVA and in the ER at Honor Health Deer Valley. Dr. Kaiser was one of the trauma doctors on call that night. She came into the room my mother was in to talk to me and check on her, at that time my mom was getting sick from the morphine they continued to put her on and her oxygen was not that great. Mind you, she had 5 fractured ribs and a puncture in her lung. Dr. Kaiser saw her age and the problem and automatically told me that she would likely need to be put on a ventilator (this is before we even get into the icu, before she was even going to give my mom a chance to get better) I told her we would decline because that is not something my mom would want and she said that all they could do if we declined it was to make her comfortable and was extremely rude and forceful about it. Even the next day when she saw my mom she had the same terrible bedside manner. I think she needs to learn compassion and not judge a patient by their age. Luckily my mom is a fighter and she did not need to be on a ventilator and she is home recovering. Needless to say things like that don't need to be said to a patient and their family when they are already terrified.
