Baby doctor only?
Dr Leinauer is probably a good doctor if you are a young female of child-bearing age, patients who are no longer in that category are left to fend for themselves, especially if menopausal. From the very first patient visit, instead of offering actual guidance or asking a patient what symptoms of menopause they are currently having, they glossed over those symptoms and lectured me on the use of non-Evidence Based Practices that were currently working for me. After trying to use the medications she recommended and having poor outcomes, I was lectured on an annual basis regarding the medication that actually worked for me; the last time I requested a refill (3 months prior to when I was due for my annual exam) I was ignored not once but 3 times and no one ever called me to tell me that the medication was being denied. When I would call to see why it was not refilled, I was told that I needed to be seen by the provider. I scheduled my next annual check-up on that first call and both times

Needed a hysterectomy due to large and numerous fibroids (and I'm past child-bearing age), Her recommended course of action was a vertical abdomen cut. This concerned me so I got a second opinion. The alternate doctor completed a laparoscopic procedure three days ago and I feel great! Up and walking around with very little pain. When I told Dr. Leinauer I was going with this alternate Dr. for the hysterectomy she "fired" me, told me I could just continue with the other doctor post-hysterectomy.

Trigger Warning - POOR BEDSIDE MANNER
Sept of 2021 she diagnosed me with PCOS. She told me that she didn't see me becoming pregnant given that I was overweight. Well, Sept of 2022 I became pregnant. I had a few independent scans done due to bleeding. She never called to bring me in and check my levels. Her nurses just assured me that bleeding is normal and to call if it continues. Out of anger for me having indep. scans done she said "the previous scan you had done is just shadows making it seem like there is something there that isn't. There is no baby or yolk sac." Additionally, "I could prescribe you progesterone, but there is no medical evidence that says it aids pregnancy. If you're going to miscarry you're just going to miscarry." A few days later I miscarried. My new provider was surprised Leinauer never checked my prog. only HGC. I miscarried because my progesterone was 2.5, which Dr. Leinauer never checked because of her own personal views. Notified her office of miscarriage and they never followed up with me.

Would NOT Recommend
I needed to find a new OBGYN in Dallas, and stumbled upon her great reviews on the Baylor Scott and White website. I had already experienced 2 miscarriages, and became pregnant with my 3rd while under her care. While she was a more chill, easy to talk to doctor - her bedside manner needed a lot of help when dealing with patients of pregnancy loss. She had little to no empathy. When I sent in a concern of mine through the portal (an issue with my HCG numbers), she told me in person that she doesn't totally believe the "doubling" of HCG (when it's pretty reliable source for whether your pregnancy is progressing), she wouldn't give an ultrasound for heartbeat/ensure the sac was in the right spot at 6wk, and said "I just didn't know you would need hand-holding through this. I have 180 other patients to tend to. However, now that I know I can adjust..". Just...no. NOT ok. I have never felt more personally attacked for advocating for my health. I miscarried my 3rd baby a day after this appt.

Dr. Leinauer was very kind. She took the time to get to know me and my health history. This was the first exam in 30 years that I didn't experience pain from the Pap smear. The staff was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

New patient for pregnancy after previous losses. Front office staff is absolutely terrible. Went in for HCG draws 48 hours apart, requested same day results if possible explaining I had a loss history and was very anxious. Front desk was downright rude to a patient on the brink of tears from anxiety. Took 4 days to get test results. Was told by the nurse who called (direct quote) that "your HCG isn't doubling or tripling or whatever" so I was called in for an ultrasound. Asked what my actual numbers were. I'd gone from 42 to 128 in 48.5 hours. Asked how this was concerning, as per all my research and basic math skills, that's a great doubling time for three weeks pregnant. Nurse snapped, "I don't know that's just what the doctor said." Went in for an ultrasound and met a nice tech who, looking at my chart, was just as confused as I was. Paid for an unnecessary ultrasound, heard the doctor telling the nurse it was a mistake on my way out. Switched providers after. Terrible experience.

I was excited but overwhelmed to finally be pregnant but had no idea where to begin or what to expect. I had a list of questions ready for my 1st appointment w/ Dr. Leinauer but left feeling even more uneasy. She was dismissive, condescending and almost apathetic. In the 1st few weeks of pregnancy, I bled a lot & sought Dr. L's medical care. At one point, she lectured me about reaching out to her - seriously told me NOT to call or come in. After a few appts. & continued uneasiness, I visited a new doctor & quickly realized that I did deserve to have any/all questions/concerns addressed in a compassionate & professional manner...for all 40+ weeks! It's been 3 years since my experience with Dr. Leinauer but it was so unnerving. Maybe she has a little more experience now or maybe we just weren't a good fit. Nonetheless, I encourage all expecting/hopeful moms to trust your instincts and do what's best for you and your baby.

Dr. Leinauer takes time to listen to her patients. She was there throughout my whole pregnancy and delivered my baby. I couldn't have asked for a better health care provider. I recommend her to all my friends who are looking for an Ob/Gyn physician.
