Went in for an epidural blood patch, discussed the pros and cons. Dr went in multiple times and missed but kept attempting it even though he clearly did not know what he was doing. Now I didn’t just have the CSF leak/worse headache I’ve ever had in my life. I know contracted aseptic meningitis from the meninges being inflamed and irritated from his attempted “procedure”. I was rolled out of the ER, with no info on what to do next but he promised this headache would go away on its own within a day or two. (Incorrect considering my CSF was continuing to leak.. the next day I went to ER at Forsyth and and did another spinal tap because the meningitis symptoms, did a successful blood patch & was hospitalized for 4 days. Oh did I mention I’m 21 weeks pregnant also during all of this.
