The coldest most uncaring person I've ever been in a room with

On my first visit with Dr. Mayra Acosta it was difficult because she wouldn't let me explain my condition well, she wouldn't let me finish talking, she was super blunt and I felt she was super insensitive, I went back to her because she sent me to do lab tests, today the same day of this note I went to her for my results, I emphasize that she is one of the doctors who tried to explain everything very well regarding my condition, but at the end of the visit I was talking to her telling her about my pain and she told me 'I don't want to hear any more' she left me speechless, she said see you in 6 months and I told her that I would not go back to her, she was very unprofessional, shutting me up, in addition to the little understanding she shows by not being sensitive to my condition

Terrible professional!! I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR!!!! I had VERY altered laboratory values and there was NEVER concern from Dr. Mayra Acosta, no treatment and NO follow-up in a short time. It could have complicated my health if I hadn't seen another doctor. Very regrettable that there are professionals like her, because no one chooses to be sick, but people like her DO CHOOSE to practice the profession of caring for and healing human beings!!!!

I have not seen her yet but can’t get a phone call answered .. they disconnect as soon as you wait for next 7 calls…. Then 5… then 8… I need help with a referral.. if I can’t get an answer for over 2 hours and couldn’t dare hang up to lose the appointment … at 74 years old I can’t wait forever They are too busy and perhaps the highly recommended doctor has no idea what is going on for the patients to get to see her or little to no office management I’m very sorry I am posting this but I need to speak to the operator… referrals and it appointments but I’m not able to get anyone!

She listens attentive and cares about her patients she is compassionate doctor. Explains my results patiently and asnwer my questions. She responds to messages quick. I created my portal and easy to communicate with her to request refills. I am very happy with my doctor Acosta. I know her for almost 10 yers.

After many years going to Rheumatologist Dr. I can tell you Dr Acosta is the best. Good communication with the patient and not rush to end the details till you understand and can follow up with confirmation.

I have been treated and cared for by Dr. Acosta in the past! I was once again redirected to see Dr. Acosta by my new primary care doctor. And, to my surprise Dr. Acosta picked up from my last visit back in 2019 as if it had just occurred only weeks before! Dr. Acosta reviewed her notes and all the new labs I brought to her for review!Dr. Acosta Explained that what was missing that had not been done by any other Dr. I had seen prior to coming to see her. Was a biopsy. And, quickly referred me to my new ENT Dr. Zaveri. Who is as thorough as Dr. Acosta is all they do. I am very happy to say that both of these Dr.‘a are professionals. Truly taking care of my health care needs with genuine concern, kindness and promptness. I have recommended friends and family to her office. With blind faith that Dr. Acosta will take great care of them as well!

Dr. Acosta listened attentively to my concerns. She was thorough in her examination and provided me with a clear explanation about my lab results. She was incredibly kind and attentive throughout the visit, taking the time to listen to my concerns and answer all of my questions.

Dr Acosta is very professional and knowledgeable Reumatologist. I am very happy with her treatment and I will recommend her to my family and friends. Her staff is awesome too.

Horrible doctor. Bad manners, lack of empathy, rude, and disrespectful. Does not give you a diagnosis, though you have been going to her office for a while. I don’t recommend her at all. Think twice before you make an appt with her. I wish I could give her zero stars.

Dr. Acosta was terrific. In a time when our world is so fast-paced, it’s nice to know I was able to be seen by a doctor that took her time to listen to me and all of my concerns. She ran all the appropriate testing in order to reach a diagnosis. Additionally, her staff was pleasant and competent.

She understands her patients, she has the knowledge, experience and care to truly help better our health condition.
