Brief and brusk
Bring your stopwatch. After not listening, 'Dr' Taylor will dismiss you at exactly 20 minutes then retire to a backroom to play with his phone

Arrogant. Condescending. Dismissive.
Not a fan of how Dr. Taylor communicates, his inability to consider personal experiences, or his intractability regarding how he prescribes. I needed a new PCP. Dr. Max Taylor was taking new patients and just around the corner from my home, so I made an appointment for an initial visit the day after my 70th birthday. Admitting staff and his nurse were vey kind and friendly. Dr. Max, not so much. I don't have any medical issues, haven't been sick in years, didn't take the COVID vaccine, never caught it, and have never taken a flu shot, haven't had a cold in years. Max schooled me on how they were safe and his hippocratic oath to do no harm. I felt his manner was one where, because I'm a senior, he acted as if I was incompetent of doing research or understanding my own body. He was so caught in his own dogma, that he was negating my own experiences and telling me I didn't know what I was talking about. Very disrespectful and egotistical. A dangerous combination for a doctor.

not a good doctor
I am a senior citizen and had a similar experience with the doctor. I took a same day appointment because I needed to be seen before leaving town for a month. He is not my regular doctor and will never see him again. Because I took the only appointment available to me I had to quickly get there but was 5 minutes late checking in. Nobody said anything about being late but when the doctor came in, he lectured me about being 10 minutes late and that I needed to be more respectful to other scheduled patients. I apologed very sincerely but he said nothing in response. I thought his care for me was due to him being mad I was late and that I deserved less of his listening and explaining to me in a compassionate way. However, reading the other reviews that is just the way he treats patients, coming across as rushed, uncaring or really listening well to the patient. He was all business and left even without saying goodby. I was left feeling pretty disrespected .

Terrible. He refused to prescribe the meds for my diabetes that I have done well on for years. Also refused to prescribe strips for me to check how I am doing without these meds. I have requested a new doctor and am waiting to hear but in the meantime I am very anxious for my health.

Needs to be more conscientious
I’m not comfortable with him. He seems to always be in a hurry, not really willing to sit for a couple of minutes to get to know me. His written instructions given to me after the visit and included online included errors about the prescription dosages.(which were cleared up when I questioned them) They were also unclear, omitting specifics about which meds to take and when. (I was changing from a med I’d been on for a few years)This is the first time I’ve ever left a poor review for a doctor. I’ve never felt this uneasy about a medical professional before. Perhaps a few more years of experience on his part is needed. Perhaps this is because he’s a DO. and not an MD. I don’t know.

Growth Is Possible
Dr. Taylor may be a competent doctor, however, he is lacking in any bedside manner. Hackned phrases and references were used liberally in his assessment, coupled with impatience and condescension. He is newly minted as a physician, however, and there are fine colleagues at PeaceHealth South, who can help him evolve, if he is interested. Rigidity and lack of respect for the individual have been mentioned in other reviews. These thoughts mirror my experience. With careful and committed attention, however, these qualities could be opportunities for growth and transformation. The staff at this clinic is uncommonly good. They exude not only kindness, but competence and care which set them apart in the best possible way. On the day of my exam, Dr. Taylor's nurse was a steadying and kind force, reinforcing my opinion of this little clinic.

Doesn't Listen
Just a big rush with little listening. I really don't think he cares one way or another about his patients. I'm finding someone else.

If you're looking for a doctor that believes one-size-fits-all for treating patients, and one who will rush you through an appointment without listening to your concerns, you might like him. If, however, you are looking for a doctor that listens and thoughtfully considers what you have to say about your own body, and treats you respectfully and politely, look elsewhere! Hopefully with a few more years of age and experience, he will gain enough wisdom and insight to listen to patients and address their concerns rather than push his own agenda and steamroll right over them.

Would Not Recommend
I went in with my son for an appointment he had for medication. My son has MI and can be difficult and requires a doctor with empathy which this doctor did not have. My son did get upset and was not appropriate, but I believe that this doctor came into the room with an agenda and had a terrible 'bedside' manner. I felt we were being accused of many things which were not true. Rather than trying to figure out what happened this doctor just wanted to leave the room. It was my first-time meeting Dr. Taylor and was not impressed. He didn't know me, and I felt like I was being accused also. I would not recommend him.
