Dr. Max Mondestin, MD

I have symptoms of Sciatica pain caused by LSS (Lumbar Spinal Stenosis).The consultation with Dr Mondestin was a waste of time:- I was received by his assistant, that was not very knowledgeable and spend 10 minutes with me - Next came Dr Modestin that spent less than 5 minutes with me, he just told me what was written in the MRI report, nothing new, no specifics where the sciatic nerve is being pinched and how to go about treating this. His statements were very evasive, I asked about minimum invasive surgeries, he didn't know much about, since he only does open surgeries. He told me he was going to prescribe physical therapy, didn't mention how it would help me, and nobody ever contacted me after the visit for this.He charged my insurance $917.00 dollars for the 5 minutes he spent with me, and I need to find a better doctor.

I had an exceptional experience with Dr. Mondestin and his entire team. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and cared for. Dr. Mondestin's patient-centered approach. I felt listened to and that there was genuine concern for my well-being and in my thoughts about the treatment plan and what I thought was best for me. I often say that the staff is the practice because they are who you interact with the most. They were attentive, professional, and compassionate, making every visit a positive experience.

Dr. Mondestin was disrespectful. I had pain for 8 months and when I was trying to explain my situation he abruptly said you have gone my 15 minutes got up and closed the door. And then I saw the medical claim he provided to my insurance company where he mentioned a longer time than 15 minutes and charged the insurance company an enormous amount. That is not accurate.I waited til 2024 to see him so I would be covered with my insurance. I needed compassion and caring which I did not get.He briefly examined me but I would never go to him again.

Very thorough exam and tests. Immediate new X-rays and results. The ONLY doctor to order up a new MRI, and he was the ONLY one to push on both hips...that pain sent me through the roof. I actually grabbed both his hands very tightly. And apologized. :-) And, he did tell me it looks like bursitis in the hips, and it may be a result of the shifting discs. But my MRI is over a year old, so a new one is needed to see if that has happened. I am a candidate for spinal fusion. My spine is unstable because of the herniated discs, and that will likely get worse. Directly contradicted the supposed doctor I saw at Cleveland Clinic during my 15-minute exam that I drove over an hour for that I wasn't a candidate for surgery and it was likely only a nerve problem. Guess that person missed the original MRI and X-rays diagnosis showing L 4-5 and L5-S1 "concentric bulges"? My pain has been greatly reduced by I would say 80% thanks to new prescriptions enabling me to regain some semblance of relief.

I've used Dr. Mondestin for a few years now and you can't get any better than him!! A doctor that actually listens to you and helps you to understand all options! The staff has also always been amazing! They care!!

Dr. Mondestin is amazing! He is thorough in his explanations, he ensures his patients understand the procedure and how it will affect them and he makes certain that his patients are comfortable moving forward. I would absolutely recommend his expertise to anyone.

Dr. Mondestin is a really GREAT doctor. I really felt comfortable during my first visit. He explained everything thoroughly and answered all of my questions. He also has a sense of humor which makes the visit easier.
