Dr. Max Garoutte, MD

Needing a stress test for surgery for the second time, I instantly requested the Office of Dr. Max Garoutte and, again, I am glad I did. All staff professionally performed their respective roles. Especially supportive and personable were Pablo and Richard, who explained things in technical terms and layman's terms. The former for a sonographer friend, and the other for me. Moreover, being from a small town, I found this office to be especially welcoming and, therefore, comes with my highest recommendation.

I have been seeing Dr Max for many years, especially after the death of Clay Robinson,a fantastic and very loved man medically and personally. My experience with him will stay with me my entire life. He was a fantastic Christian example. Dr Max is that and so much more.I totally agree with the others about his patient caring, understanding,and how he talks to his patients in words and ways everyone can understand. I would never change to another cardiologist.I trust Dr Max totally with my life. He has done several Stent implants on my heart and was the greatest. The last one was at the Baptist Hospital and the staff referred to him as the "miracle man". I totally agree. And just to add to it, the entire staff takes after his example. They are fantastic and very professional. They try very hard to accommodate everyone. Yes there are problems that come up that are not under their control but they deal with them in the best way possible. They take care of us. This morning, I had to have a nuclear stress test done for my job, and Pablo was the absolute best in his knowledge, techniques, and the absolute professional and caring way he was with me and the other patients that were with me. I cannot stress enough how life changing it would be for anyone to choose Dr Max andvthe staff. I promise you won't regret it. Walter Ricketts

I’m a severely sick patient. I was happy with Dr. Garoutte and his NP, however:It’s now been more than TWO weeks since his NP said he wanted to schedule me for an echo a week before my December 3rd appointment. Since I require contrast dye during echos due to a wall of fibrotic tissue in my left chest wall that makes it impossible to see my heart, I was told they’d have to send me somewhere else to get it done and they’d contact me shortly with the info. That was on October 30th. I have called multiple times to see where I’m supposed to have it, and the woman I keep talking to is completely useless. Who would have thought that a cardiologist office would be so inept at just scheduling me an echo???? It’s been two weeks, and they obviously just don’t care. Don’t bother coming here.

Yearly in July 2024, I called and asked for an appointment. You gave me a date but with a PA; then, I said I wanted to see a doctor; then, you gave me a later date for an appointment with Max Garoutte, MD; then, you sent me a message postponing the last appointment; then, one day before the older appointment, you sent me a message reminding me about that old, cancelled appointment.If you call this anything other than mockery, you are totally wrong!Vasile Parascan, a retired DVM.

Everyone of the staff members to include technicians and office personnel had really good customer service and genuinely cared and made me feel comfortable and confident about the level of service I received. This was from first appointment to after care after surgery. I was impressed.

Staff always pleasant and efficient. Impressed that all the staff expressed how much they thought of Dr. Garoutte. All tests and procedures were done efficiently and arranged ahead of time and calls to remind me of my appointments the day before. It was a scary time for me as I wasn't aware of any cardiac issues and was referred by my surgeon, but the whole experience of multiple tests was a pleasant one because of Dr. Garoutte's wonderful staff. My visit with Dr. Garoutte was also very good as he patiently explained my test results and answered all of my questions. I didn't feel rushed or intimidated as Dr. Garoutte is direct and down to earth and easy to like.

The front office staff; Brenda, Ember and Jamie are professional, friendly and accommodating. They are thorough in communicating the information for the patient to understand easily what will happen at each visit. They are kind will make whatever changes are needed for the patient.

I have gone to his office two different times in different years. I gave him another chance the second time but was disappointed again. I waited over an hour to be seen because they missed me. When I told the staff I’d see another cardiologist with the help of my primary doctor. Dr. Garoutte wrote me a letter terminating services with him. I chose to terminate his services however he is under the impression he made the decision. Don’t recommend him.

From the moment my wife and I walked in, we felt an atmosphere of integrity and comprehensiveness display itself. After meeting the Staff and Dr. Garoutte, we quickly learned why. At 67 years of age, we have had experiences with many different Physicians. Our experience has taught us that one never has a second chance to make a first impression. Our impression of both the office and Dr. Garoutte remained the same and did not change for all the appointments we had. Our impression was one of Humbleness, Honesty, Caring and Concern from not only knowledge but from the heart. If Dr. Garoutte had the ability to provide care for all of our areas of concern, we would use his services alone and not just for cardiac issues or tests. Allowing dialogue to carry out between us for various topics other than cardiac issues displays an integrity and character that few physicians we have met convey. Dr. Garoutte high on a pedestal of trust, not because he is perfect but because he is the real deal.

Dr. Garoutte was so kind and assured me that the testing would get done so I could be cleared for surgery. The technicians were very professional and caring while they explained every step that was going on. The staff all wore smiles that helped me immensely.

I dont understand why my appointment was scheduled at 10 am when I still have to wait an additional 2 hours to be seen. I do not enjoy engaging with the staff or scheduling with them. They are very cold and rude.

Meet and greet was great. Staff in front, not so. Like a express line. This put a damper on the practice. But I will hang in because he is a great doc.

Great cardiologist, open to nutrition and other lifestyle recommendations. Open-minded about testosterone therapy and other natural options. A wealth of knowledge. As a physician myself, I can recommend him without reservations.

Dr.Max is an excellent Cardiologist! He listens and finds solutions to your problems. Practically every condition affects your heart, so feel free to discuss other symptoms you are having. He’ll help you!!

Since 2008, Dr. Garoutte has kept me informed, properly diagnosed, and alive. And at age 73 I feel that all three are pretty important. I've found that he is not one to rush into any procedure until he has done thorough testing and evaluation, and then his ability to translate medical terminology into an understandable discussion of issues and options is most reassuring. This is a physician who is both extremely competent and caring - can't recommend Dr. Garoutte highly enough.

Excellent staff, very courteous and professional. Dr. Garoutte was wonderful. He answered all of my questions and I never felt rushed.

Great doc, awesome staff. Dr. Garoutte takes the time to understand and address individual patient concerns. He always takes a preventative method to healthcare over reactive where possible with an emphasis on overall wellness. He will not order excessive testing that is not necessary and always allows patients the time of day. Dr. Garoutte's staff is efficient, professional and compassionate. They will take time to address individual patient needs and situations. A+++++ office!!!

I found Dr. GAROUTTE to be kind and patient. He explained my test results and really answered and all questions I had and he did not rush at all. However, his front office staff is a different story. I have seen the Dr. twice and each time his front office staff has been curt, rude and unfriendly. The staffer at checkout is not helpful and became irritated when asked any questions. Her attitude is negative and I felt extremely uncomfortable because her facial expressions and deep sighs were clearly evidence of her unhappiness at answering my questions. Don’t be surprised when calling the office and are taken aback by the unfriendliness of the office staff. Nevertheless, Dr. GAROUTTE is a kind and generous physician and therefore, I recommend him whole heartedly.

Was difficult to get a appointment and seemed like the ladies in the office didn’t know what was going on. Finally got appointment had tests run when I went to get test results back and they weren’t even mine. They belonged to a different person. They had to mail me the test results.
