I believe Dr. Syrquin saved my eye in 2007. He works fast, you have to stop him to ask a question. Some people that work in his office are rude and the office needs an updaet BUT he is an excellent doctor.

Unprofessional Staff and Practice
I have refused to go back for any care or eval at this practice. Every single appointment I had would be rescheduled at the last minute. The nurse would be rude and get ugle every time she called me, she told me that if I didn't like it I could find another dr. The dr had also given me a flat charge as I was changing jobs/insurance and didn't want me stopping my eye injections, after he told the girl summing up charges what to only charge me they billed me for the whole thing! I am now taking my care to someone who will actually feel compassionate and not just make jokes/comments about my health to their residents. I also work for a medical office and we wouldn't even think of treating anyone like this!

Great dr, cranky staff
Great doc; overly rushed tho. Gotta stop him to ask questions. The portal is not good; the notes from visits are subpar and not at all pertinent to condition. Same notes every visit. This is a production line. The billing is a nightmare and the staff is usually very snappish and impolite.

Been seeing him every three months for close to a year now. True he moves fast so you better be ready to ask your questions. However, he is not fast to jump to into surgery and I am truly grateful to have found a doctor who knows when to take his time. Yes, I would gladly recommend him.

Dr. Syrquin saved the sight in my right eye when I suffered a detached retina. He is always friendly, if a bit brisk (he deals with so many patients in each location that his short visits are understandable, but he doesn’t miss a thing and he gives each patient excellent care. I would not trust my retinas to anyone but him.

Amazing physician! Easily one of the BEST! Energizer bunny mode is required to handle the incredible number of patients that trust him completely with their sight. He has performed emergency surgery twice in 15 years to restore my sight in each eye. Results were perfect both times. He refers to other experts whenever you need treatment he does not do efficiently! I now see him regularly. My wife is also a highly grateful patient. He met us at 6:30 one morning as "on call" to address a severe pain in one eye for her! He has developed a highly efficient methodology to employ his well trained staff to perform as much tedious preliminary work as possible, leaving him more time to do the actual diagnosis and treatment. All negative comments I have seen here appear to stem from patients who are more familiar with their previous physicians who spend more personal time with them covering tasks that he uses staff to perform. If there were 20 stars, I would give them.

Without the surgery he did on my eyes in 2002, I would be blind.

I’ve given him several chances and all of them have been sub-par. You have to darn near interrupt to even ask him a question and even then he dances around the answer. The staff dialates your eyes, then sends you to the waiting room so they can have another patient come in while waiting for it to take effect, then they call you back in. Very much an assembly line in and out and thanks for the $30 type visit. On top of Dr Syrquin stepping in front of you while you’re booking the next appt to throw another patient’s info at the receptionist. I am in a doctor/specialists office weekly and I know what good care looks like. This is not it. And then there’s also the time he fussed at an elderly patient for jumping while getting an injection in his eye - of course he jumped, it hurts!

I would never recommend Dr. Syrquin to anyone. He doesn't take any time at all to discuss your condition, outcomes or recovery. It is like a production line in there where he wants to see as many people as possible. Also, he has an ownership interest in the surgery center where he performs his procedures. Maybe that is why he did not tell me, after numerous follow ups, that my retina was still detached, so he could perform another surgery?

I've been seeing Dr. Syrquin for 5 years and he restored my eyesight in both my eyes. I would not trust anyone but him. Arlington and Denton locations are the busiest but no matter what office if you have an emergency they will fit you in.

Dr. Syrquin is very skilled in treating difficult issues with the eye. He has performed surgery on both my eyes with positive results. He has four locations that he visits each week. The Irving and Denton locations seem to be the busiest with the longer waits. He does fit in emergency patients, so he often get behind in his schedule.

I would not recommend him because he does not take the time to hear about your eye problems. And when he does, which is very rare, they are ignored mostly due to his superior know all attitude and arrogance. I feel like my time, distance travel, and money would be spent better at some other doctor's office. The sessions with him amount to a few minutes and out you go and another patient comes in. Feels like he just wants your money and not your problems.
