Dr. Maurice Eggleston Jr, MD

Dr. Eggleston was subbing in for my regular mfm and to say it was a wild ride is an understatement. He started by asking why I was there because he hadn’t bothered to read my file. Then spent entirely too long telling me his entire medical history. He said that I was too fat to be pregnant and that the RE who helped me get pregnant had no morals. He insinuated that my husband wasn’t the father of my child and I was further along than I thought. And then ended by telling me he would see me again ‘when you get gestational diabetes in a few weeks’. Thanks?? I left feeling entirely insulted and offended and called the office manager to make sure I never encounter that man again.

Dr. Eggleston was warm, unrushed, and empathetic. He made me feel seen and understood. He was extremely knowledgeable about my baby's diagnosis and informed me of all options. His support was invaluable and my visit with him was an encouragement. He left a lasting impression.

I met Dr.Eggleston at Portsmouth Naval Hospital after having past issues with miscarriages. After becoming pregnant with my daughter, Dr. Eggleston quickly diagnosed my issues and delivered a healthy beautiful baby girl. Eight weeks later, I was pregnant with my son. Dr Eggleston delivered my son 11 months after my daughter was born. These kids are now 17 and 18. You will not find a more compassionate man and brilliant doctor.

Dr. Eggleston did not show any professionalism during my visit. He instead spoke in a very demeaning and condescending manner. I do not recommend him to anyone I know.
